When Sophie and Keefe had leapt back to Havenfield, Grady and Edaline were already in bed. Granted, it was pretty late, so Sophie didn't blame them. Sophie asked Keefe if he wanted to stay the night and he reluctantly agreed.

"Just sit anywhere while I get ready for bed." Sophie said. She hurried to the bathroom and turned in the shower. She let the hot water run over her body like it was washing all the worries away. While she showered Keefe explored her room. He discovered her scrapbook and started looking through. Each picture was cuter than the last. When Sophie was dressed, she came out of the bathroom and saw Keefe looking through her scrapbook.

"What are you doing?" She asked curiously.

"Just looking. You were so cute!"

"Was?"

"Yeah. You were so cute. Now you're beautiful." Sophie blushed. She was beautiful. Sitting next to Keefe, Sophie pulled him closer and kissed him gently. He kissed back, making it longer. They kissed as long as they could. They pulled away, gasping for air.

"I think we should go to bed now." Sophie said, breaking the silence.

"Ok. I'll sleep on the floor." Keefe responded.

"No, you can sleep up with me. The bed is big enough for sure."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I am sure." She got comfortable and patted the spot next to her. Keefe climbed in, but left enough room between them as to not make it uncomfortable. Before she drifted off to dreamless oblivion, she scooted closer to Keefe, needing the comfort he gave her. Everything was going to be okay.

The sun shone brightly through the window. Ugh, Sophie thought, I forgot to close the blinds. Sophie rolled over and realized that Keefe was staring at her.

"Good morning beautiful." Keefe said, smiling.

"Good morning handsome." Sophie replied.

"How is my lovely girlfriend this morning?"

"Perfect. How about my wonderful boyfriend?" She loved the way that word rolled of her tongue: Boyfriend.

"Amazing. What time is it?"

"Just about 8:00."

"Shoot. I have to go."

"Why?"

"I have to get to the Elite Levels by 7:30."

"Yeah. I guess you're right." She pouted. She didn't want him to leave.

"Hey, it's okay. I graduate in a few weeks and then we have like 6 weeks before you have to go to your first year of the Elite Levels." Keefe said.

"Okay, but please don't get in trouble." Sophie pleaded, though she knew he wouldn't.

"Trouble? Since when do I get in trouble?"

"Whatever. You've got to get going."

"You're right. So for now, goodbye. I love you." With that, Keefe leapt to Foxfire. Sophie was left sitting in her bed with nothing to do. She lied back down and stared at the ceiling. Wondering what to do, she walked downstairs for breakfast. Edaline and Grady left a note on the table for her.

Sophie,
We're sorry we can't be there right now. There was something the Council needed us to do, so we will be back as soon as possible.

So now that Grady and Edaline were gone, Sophie was officially alone. What was she going to do today?
