DS- Portland

Living in Portland was amazing. I love it here but the best part left when I was 14 years old, my best friend Daniel Seavey. It's been 5 years now and I haven't spoke to him since the day he left. He's famous now so he probably doesn't even remember me. Our moms are still friends though, they talk all the time and that's why we are on our way to a Why Don't We concert. I haven't seen Daniel in person since the day he left and I don't really know if i want to. It's just going to hurt even worse when he doesn't remember me. But my mom wanted me to go because Keri wanted to see me. We got to the venue and went through the VIP entrance and Keri greeted us with hugs. Her and my mom started talking leaving me by myself so I decided to roam around. I started walking and ran into somebody.
"Um excuse me but I don't think you're suppose to be back here" I look up and see one of the members of the band but I wasn't sure which one.
"I'm sorry. I'm just here with my mom" I pulled out my backstage pass and showed him.
"Oh okay. I'm Jonah. Wanna meet the rest of the boys?" He asked me
" I'm okay. Thanks tho" I said
"They are really cool trust me. Cmon" he said and started walking towards the dressing room.
Once we got there I stopped at the door.
"Are you coming?" Jonah asked.
"I really don't know" I said back to him.
"Cmon" He said taking my hand and bringing me in the dressing room where 3 other boys were messing around. But I didn't see Daniel.
Then there he was, walking in. I froze and looked at Jonah.
"Are you okay?" He whispered to me.
And I just stood there until one of the boys stopped messing around and looked at me
"Hey Jo who's this?" The curly headed one said. I avoided eye contact with Daniel.
"I'm not actually sure. I found her roaming around backstage" Jonah laughed.
"I'm jack! That is Zach and Corbyn. And this is.."
"Daniel" I said.
"Are you a fan?" Jack asked.
"I wouldn't really say that. I have no idea who y'all were" I sorta laughed.
"But you know me?" Daniel said. I could feel him looking at me so I looked up and that's when we made eye contact for the first time.
"No way" he gasped.
"What?" Corbyn said
"Y/n?" Daniel said getting closer to you.
I looked at him in shook.
"How did you know?" I said
"I could never forget those eyes. Those are the eyes I was in love with for years" he said.
"This is THE y/n?" Jonah asked Daniel.
"Yes" Daniel said still in shock
"What do you mean 'THE y/n'?" I asked.
"Whenever we first started the band you were all he talked about. All his childhood memories had you in it. We always tried to get him to contact you but he thought you wouldn't want that because you were so broken when he left" Jonah explained.
"Dani is that true?" I asked looking at Daniel
" yes. I hurt you and I never forgave myself. I hurt the one person I loved more than anything. I knew I couldn't contact you and hurt you again" he said looking at
The ground.
"I thought you forgot about me. I cried myself to sleep every night for 6 months because I thought you forgot me" I said.
" I'm sorry" he said
"Dani it's okay." I said
Daniel looked up at me and engulfed me in a hug.
"I missed you so much" he exclaimed.
"I missed you too" I hugged him back.
