Zach's POV: I was chilling in the WDW house with the boys watching Daniel and Jonah play video games waiting for my girlfriend, Y/N, to come home.
"You guys she left almost an hour ago. She should be here by now" I said looking down at my phone waiting for a call or text.
"Bro chill. She could've made another trip before coming home. It's okay dude." Jonah replies back. I just sign and start scrolling through Instagram.
Y/N POV: I texted Zach that I was on my way home and started driving. I plugged in the aux and turn on WDW's new album. Wanna free fall inside your head Go everywhere you've been See everything you've been So I can understand Jack started off singing. I turned the music up a little louder and then it was Zach solo. "I could just get lost in his voice" you thought as you closed your eyes imagining him there singing to you. Then all of a sudden you open your eyes to see a semi truck headed straight towards you. You scream and try to swerve out of the way and the last thing you remember was the windshield shattering into a million pieces.
Zach's POV: I'm sitting anxiously waiting when my phone rings. I quickly jump up and answer it hoping it's Y/N. "Hello is this Mr. Herron?" A lady spoke. "Yes ma'am. How may I help you" I reply. "Y/N has been in an accident. We need you to come to the morgue and see if you can identify her body" she says calmly. I dropped the phone tears spilling out of my eyes. I tried to grab my keys but I couldn't I was shaking so bad. "Zach you look like somebody just died" Corbyn laughed as he walked into the room. This made you bust out into full tears. "I was just kidding bro" Corbin said. Jonah got up and walked over to me. "Zach tell me what's going on" he said in a stern but calm voice. "Y/N... accident..... morgue..... identify" I stumble to get out. I saw Jonah's eyes widen and fill with tears. "BOYS TO THE CAR NOW" Jonah yelled to the rest of the boys. The all came running over confused. "Zach can I tell them what's going on?" Jonah asked. I just nodded. "Y/N got into an accident and we have to go see if we can identify her body at the morgue" Jonah stated trying to hold himself together. All the boys faces fell and they ran and gave me a hug only to make me cry harder. We all quietly walked to the car and got in. The car ride there was silent. And then we got there, to the place I never wanted to go. I froze, I couldn't move. "Zach we are here with you. Let's go do this together" Daniel said quietly. We all climbed out of the car and walked in. "Hello ma'am. We have Zach Herron here to try and identify a member of the accident that just occurred" Jack spoke to the lady. "Right this way" she started walking to 2 metal doors. We walked in and it was freezing and I saw 2 black bags sitting on tables. "Okay. I will show you the bodies and I need you to identify if one of them is Miss. Y/F/N Y/L/N. " I slowly stepped toward the bag as she unzipped it. I looked at shook my head no. She walked to the next one as I closed my eyes about to lose it. She opened it and I looked. It wasn't her either. I shook my head. "Neither victim is her. That must mean she's the one currently in the ICU." The lady spoke. Tears of relief fled my eyes and I turned and hugged the boys. "Let's go to the hospital" Jonah commanded and walked towards the door. We later arrived at the hospital and I rushed up to the desk. "I need to see Miss. Y/F/N Y/L/N please."I spoke very fastly to the lady. "One second please." She announced. " room 345" she pointed into the direction. I ran to her room and slowly walked in. I walked in to a sight I never wanted to see. She looked white as a ghost. Had machines hooked everywhere. Cuts and blood stains everywhere. When I saw her I cried once again. The nurse walked in. "Hello I'm Nurse Smith. Miss Y/L/N is currently in a coma and not breathing on her own. She has broken ribs and arm. And got many cuts from the windshield shattering" she spoke. "When will she wake up?" Jack asked "We don't know. There's a chance that she never does" she replied and walked away. I went and sat in the car next to her bed. I grabbed her unbroken hand and laid my head down.

"Y/N, baby please wake up. I can't live without you, I need you. You can't leave me yet" I cried.
~5 weeks later~
I still visit Y/N everyday hoping that one day she will wake up. But everyday is the same. I get to the hospital feeling hopeless. "Good morning Zach" Nurse Betty said as I walked in. We were on first name basis now. "Morning. Any news?" I asked the same question I have asked everyday for 5 weeks. "Sorry honey" she patted my back and left me with you. "Hi baby"'I whispered sitting next to your bed. "Me and the boys are going on tour in a couple months." I said. "I was hoping you would be back on your feet so you could come" I sighed looking down. "I'm breaking inside baby. I don't know what to do. I feel helpless. I just wish I could trade places with you. I wish you could never feel an ounce of pain. I wish I could've protected you." I cry still looking down. "Zach I love you" I heard a faint whisper and look up to see Y/N slightly smiling at me. "OH MY GOSH. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH" I screamed kissing her forehead. Nurse Betty came running in. "She's awake" I smiled "She's awake" she repeated to me.
~a week later~
Y/N got to come home today. I helped you out of the car and walked you to the WDW house. Where all the boys rushed outside to greet you. Your smile never left your face. I took you to our bedroom and laid you down and I laid next to you being super careful. "I'm so glad your safe" I whisper. "If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be" she replied " I love you so much Y/F/N Y/M/N Y/L/N" I looked up at her. "I love you too Zachary Dean Herron" she smiled back.
