I avoid Dean for the next two weeks. He's tried to talk to me, but I won't give him the time of day. Not after what Hemsley said to me in his office.

To my disapproval, Dean forces his way into my company. It's Thursday. I'm reading in a corner only looking up every once in awhile to spot Dean on the other side of the room. He's staring straight into my eyes.

I'm locked in his gaze so much that when he starts to approach me, I have no control of my body to run. He reaches me in silence. I know I shouldn't be here with him, but looking around I see that Dr. Hemsley is no where to be found.

"Why have you been avoiding me?" Dean searches my eyes for an answer, looking surprisingly hurt.

I shake my head, "Please leave me alone Dean."

"I don't wanna leave you alone. What's your problem, I did nothing to you!"

"Hemsley took me into his office about two weeks ago. He basically warned me to stay away from you or face the consequences. I can't go through this again Dean, please."

His eyes turn to anger. "He fucking threatened you?"

"Lower your voice!" I snap. "Please Dean. Don't get me in trouble."

"He won't do anything to you Is, I promise."

"What do you think this is Dean? A game? You can't stop him. You can't stop anyone here."

"I will not let him hurt you."

"Look, I don't know why you even care! But if you do, if you really care. Just go!"

He shakes his head and immediately lowers his voice. "I can't stay away from you."

"Yes you can!"

"I don't want to." At that moment, he reaches for my hand. And as much as I want him to succeed in touching me, I pull my hand away.

"Please Dean."

He doesn't say another word. Instead he retreats to the other side of the room, seeming more hurt than ever.
