Chapter 5-NoBackTalk

So its the day before "Game Day" and I'm super excited. Coach already said I'm starting. I go to English class today. So I went to my locker and grabbed my English book. When I was closing my locker I seen Alesha. She was telling me about practice today and that we are starting. I told her I already knew and thank you. When I walked off I thought to my self " why is she being nice to me?" I just forgot the situation and try to be nice to her I guess. When I got to English class, I started reading the page that the teacher assigned. Then the announcements came on: " Jasmine Warner please come to the office. Jasmine Warner please come to the office, Thank you." With that being said, I went to the office.

When I got there, it was this light skin dude looking at me. The principal then explained what he wanted me up here for.
Principal: " I need you to show Chris around for me. Can you do that?"
Me: " Yeah."

I motioned my hand for Chris to follow. I first told him that the place we were just in was the office. Then, I showed him the library. I showed him the 12th, 11th, 10th, and 9th grade hallways. The 9th grade hallway was where we left off. " Thank you for doing this." He said politely. " No problem." I responded.
Chris: " Would you like to go out with me sometime?"
Me: " Sure but I have a boyfriend."
Chris: " Okay. How about tonight?"
Me: " Sure. I will call you after practice."
Chris: " Okay. Bye."
Me: " Bye."

Chris is just the cutest. I'm not really into light skins but I could make an exception for him. When I was heading back to class I ran into Marcus. " Hey." I said. " Wassup." He responded.
Marcus: " Wanna go out to eat after school today?"
Me: " I'm so sorry baby. I had already made plans with Chris."
Marcus: " Who is Chris?"
Me: " The new boy."
Marcus: " How about tomorrow?"
Me: " Yes. Wouldn't miss it for the world."
Marcus: " Okay. Love you."
Me: " Love you too."

I felt guilt just pass through my stomach. I knew that when I said " I love you" I didn't mean it. Maybe its just a phase. I hope it goes away quick. So school is over and I'm in the bathroom changing. I'm done changing and I'm in the gym. Coach Sofia ran over some plays. We was actually a good team. I think we have a shot this year at City. After we went over the plays, Coach Sofia sat us down and told us this. " I think we have a shot this year at City." I can't believe this. I was cracking up laughing. Anyways; after she said that, we went over the plays she told us. Then she ended practice because she said we needed to be " well rested" for the game tomorrow.

Right after practice I went home to take a shower and put on clothes. I had on this strapless top with jeans that had rips in it, and some black heels on. I called Chris to tell him my address and that I was ready. 10 minutes he pulled up in a Lamborghini. He got out the car and opened the door for me. " Thank you." I said blushing. He took me to this nice restaurant. I ordered steak, fries, and a cookies and cream milkshake. We was talking about everything. Then, it was time to go home. He dropped me off. He opened the door for me again and I smiled. " Thank you Chris. We should do this again." I kissed him on the cheek and went inside. When I got inside I received a text from Alesha.

Alesha: You ready for tomorrow?
Me: Never been more ready in my life.
Alesha: Dhetpkodd.
Me:😂😂.
Alesha: Wyd?
Me: Nun. Can I ask you a question?
Alesha: Sure.
Me: Why are you being so nice to me now?
Alesha: Because I realized that what I did was wrong and I apologize.
Me: It's okay. I forgive you.
Alesha: Thanks. Gn.
Me: Gn.
