He stops dead on his tracks. He turns around and sees the same woman from before. He's curious.. is she following him or not? He doesnt know.... She smiles at him. He smiles at her. She comes closer.. closer, inch by inch. And the sky rumbled like the belly of a starving beast. And the rain kept falling down like teardrops from the sky...like blood from his veins..and everything was black and white and the cheap motel lights kept on blinking and blinkin' and he couldnt kill the feeling that he's already seen this woman before..and he couldnt kill the feeling that he's drawn to her... like moths to flames..like bees to honey..like a saint to sin.

They stood in the bus stop. The woman smiled and lured him into a conversation. She hummed tunes in her beautiful voice and She caught His attention more and more until He wasnt able to stand the feeling of curiosty inside him and bit the bait which made him shatter the uncomfortable silence:
"havent i seen you somewhere?"
"excuse me sir, are you talking to me?" she speaks while looking forward, still smiling.
"..uh yes?? we're the only people here."
"well, im pretty sure this is the first time we've seen each other." with her eyes, still looking in the distant.
"you seem really really familiar" he says, looking in her direction
"truth be told, i rarely go outside so if you've seen me, im pretty sure you would remember me"
"and why is that?"
"i work at the Dahlia Noir. im a performer there." she says as she looks left and right to the streets.
"really? that jazz bar downtown?? ive been there once or twice but ive never seen you perform before."
"im actually trying to catch a bus on my way there."
"is that so? can i come along?"
"yeah, sure. its my shift tonight..you can stay and watch me perform too if you like."
"I uh.. i umm.. thats great!"
"cool." she says as she lights a cigarette.
"Dwight. The name's Dwight." he says as he reaches out for a handshake..for an introduction.
"well this is fast." she now looks at his direction, the smile on her face still present.
"what is?"
"this whole introduction thing.. my name is this, my name is that...that's the whole problem with introductions isnt it? they're too fast." she says as she exhales smoke out of her lungs.
"well, if it makes you any better, you can forget my name for now and act like you dont know me yet" he now smiles, the tension from being denied of her company, gone.
"and besides, you're gonna have to do more than just a handshake to get my name." and she lights a cigarette and hands it to him.
"okay.."
And he looks forward to the distant..smiling...excited..like a kid about to go to the movies..and she looks forward to the distant..smiling..excited, like a kid about to go to the movies.
The rain stopped and left the cold wind hanging in the air..it blew cold and frigid and it made Him smell the scent of Her perfume..and it paralyzed his senses.. "strawberries" he thought. she smelled like strawberries ought to smell.
"strange weather isnt it?" she says as she reaches her hand out of the shed to feel if there's rain.
"yes..i guess so" he says as he does the same thing.
And it was not long before a bus stopped in front of them.
They got in..and went downtown...
