Monse practically forced me to go to Ruby's house I mean I miss them but I seriously just left them like that I was still surprise when monse called me and she was just chilled. We arrived at Ruby's and went inside we didn't even have to knock that's how close we are I mean were

"I'm back" monse announced walking in the room

"Can you move that side table" Ruby said not caring that she was gone all summer and they haven't noticed me yet

"No, seriously don't make a fuss. I've only been gone all summer but no, really no big deal" monse said and Jamal noticed me

"Becca you're back!" Jamal said hugging me

"Oh so she gets all the excitement" monse said "jealous"

"Don't be jealous that I am loved more"  I said playfully

"Oh Becca you're back" Ruby said a little less excited "Who's this"

"My cousin" I quickly said which made them give me weird faces but not suspicious ones

"So what made you come back... was it to tell us why you left just like that without telling anyone mostly your best friends!" Ruby said clearly mad

"Look guys it was just some family problem" it looks like I'm going to have to extend the fake story about Carmen bring my cousin "My aunt was pregnant and she was going to have a kid but she wasn't in a good place right now so Frankie brought me to go and help her but right after birth she just left and we haven't seen her since and we couldn't just left the baby she's family so Frankie became her guardian" damn now I know why monse likes to write making something up every second until it becomes a whole thing it's kinda fun anyways it looks like the boys believed it

"Oh Becca I'm so sorry"  Ruby said

"It's all good we're over it" I said back "Where's Cesar" I asked

"We're not talking to him" Ruby said

"You in a fight" Monse asked

"Well it wasn't really a fight. More like-" Jamal got cut off by Ruby

"Were not getting into it" Ruby looked at monse "Trust us, Cesar's not cool"

"Well, I'm not cool with being not cool."

"Wait Jamal don't you have football practice right now " I asked and he nodded and I continued "then, why aren't you at football?"

"We should really get to orientation before those line get too long" Jamal said deflecting the question so I just rolled my eyes at him

"Yea I don't wanna be to sweaty for my ID." Ruby agreed "like Mario said "'It's all about first impressions.'"

"And sticking together! You're deflecting this Whole Cesar stitch. Stop being bitches and tell me"
Monse said which earned a glare from me I do not need my baby swearing when she can barely say a sentence

"Sorry" she said to me

"Can we stop by my house so she can stay with Frankie" I asked them and they said sure

We dropped off Carmen and started heading to the school and Monse brought back the conversation

"What happened with Cesar!" Monse said no shouted a little bit

"This silent treatment will only last so long. I will break you."

"Ok this kinda getting annoying, so just tell us what he said" I said

"Come on there's no way Cesar did anything on purpose to destroy our crew. He's the glue of our crew." No doubt there I thought as monse said it

"That was then and this is now" Jamal said

"Yea, Cesar ain't shit"

"Shit prophets" Jamal said and there was 3 prophets vandalizing a dumpster

"Ditch you colors" monse said and Ruby took off his sweater and Jamal took off his cap but me and monse were good

"Aw damm it, did I just jack my do?"

"Yea" monse said

"It was already jack up" and Ruby glared at me and I smiled he took out his phone to check I went behind to see if I looked good I did then Jasmine came walking behind us

"Code dread. Code dread approaching on your six" which made Jamal and monse turn around

I mean I don't hate Jasmine she's actually pretty funny but she just have a really loud personality

"Yo! You guys going to orientation? Hey, you know my cousin Berto, the fine one, hey! His daughter Letty said it ain't nothing, unless you're stupid and can't spell your name, And then you hold up the line and then people get mad." We all linked arms and started walking faster trying to get away from her
"Hey, why are you guys walking so fast? You know I can't keep up. Tengo asma (I have asthma)."

Then monse spoke "Sorry, Jasmine, we're having a private convo. Real sensitive stuff. Catch you next time"

"That's what you always say" Next thing I know we're running away from jasmine. Are we sure she has asthma cause this girl can run a whole freaking marathon I'm so happy I left Carmen with Frankie

"Man, she is relentless"

"Oh you're not safe" Monse said bringing back the conversation again, I really don't want to talk about Cesar today I want to prep myself for when I see him at school

"You're threats aren't penetrating, okay I'm not telling you what Cesar said" Jamal exclaimed

"So he said something" I looked at the boys and Monse gave me a high five

"Jamal, do you need a muzzle?" Jamal quickly covered his mouth "And you" ruby looked at me "Who's side are you on"

"I'm on No one's side I just want to get this Cesar stich all done with, but Monse does have a point we should know we are his bestfriend"

"some a little but more than that" Monse said under her breath which made me glare at her but luckily the boys didn't hear

"Monse no offense, but you're a loose cannon, and we're not telling you for your own protection, and Bella you like starting fights, you got in a lot of fights In eight grade, You would just go and beat up someone."

Monse scoffed "my own protection, eat a dick" Monse turned around

"Case in point, You don't even know, and you're already at Defcon Solange"

"Wait why would I need to beat up someone how does this include me?" I asked but before they can answer there was grunting and shouting there was a gang jumping a man I think those guys were from the Santos yes cause that's what the world needs right now more Santos in the world

"Don't look. keep walking." Jamal and ruby linked arms with us we walked and look straight ahead

" why would anyone want to get jumped into 19th street? If it were me I'd join first Street only one second of pain"

"Agreed. And who wants a lifetime commitment at our age"

"Apparently neither of you lack of commitment seems to be a noticeable trend in this friendship"

"As does lack of personal space!" I said and, Me and Monse pushed the boys away from us then I heard very loud rap music playing on stereo and the famous red Chevy impala was driving down the street Wait! Is that Oscar before I left he was in prison and he had like 2-3 years left!"

"We can't tell you what Cesar said" Ruby looked at both of us

"Fine then we'll ask him!" I was confused by what Monse said  but then she pulled me right in front of Oscars car with her

"What the fuck" I told her she knows I'm not ready to talk to Cesar but she ignore me
