Staying at home with a puppy

Baekhyun's been working very hard lately and it's paid off, he got quite the promotion in his company.

"Byun Baekhyun, you've been promoted congratulations. You now can work home during weekdays," Baekhyun's boss, Kim Minseok, states on the other line.

"Thank you sir, it's an honor," Baekhyun smiles excitedly.

"You're welcome," Minseok says.

"Have a good day sir," Baekhyun gets ready to hang up the phone so he can tell Chanyeol.

"You too, Mr.Byun."

Baekhyun gets up out of his 'boss' chair and runs to Chanyeol's room. Chanyeol's sitting on the floor having a tea party with his plushies.

"Chanyeol, guess what!" Baekhyun yells excitedly, which clearly startles Chanyeol.

"What, Baekhyunnie?" Chanyeol wonders and his big eyes look up at him.

"I got a promotion, I can work from home everyday now," Baekhyun cheers, Chanyeol gasps and runs over to Baekhyun.

"That's so cool, Baekhyunnie," Chanyeol cheers with Baekhyun.

"Thank God, I don't have to go in the office anymore," Baekhyun sits down on one of the chairs in Chanyeol's room. Chanyeol sits down on the floor next to Baekhyun, even though there's another chair in the room. "Why are you sitting on the floor?"

"Because, Mrs.FluffyTail likes these chairs, she always sits on them. I make sure everyday that no one else sits on them," Chanyeol explains, Baekhyun is practically dead from Chanyeol acting so cute.

"She wouldn't mind if I sat on them will she?" Baekhyun plays along.

"I can ask her," Chanyeol gets up and runs to his tea party set up, he grabs Mrs.FluffyTail and sits back next to Baekhyun. Chanyeol holds the stuffed bunny up against his ear. "Mrs.FluffyTail said, 'because you gave her to me, you can sit in her chair.' Mrs.FluffyTail must really like you, Baekhyunnie!"

"Well, after all I am quite the ladies man," Baekhyun laughs at his own joke, Chanyeol doesn't get it but laughs along because Baekhyun's laughing.

"Baekhyunnie," Chanyeol looks up at Baekhyun.

"Yes, Chanyeol?" Baekhyun locks eyes with Chanyeol.

"Can you join my tea party?" Chanyeol questions.

"Yes, I would love to," Baekhyun accepts, Chanyeol gets up from the floor and smiles, he grabs Baekhyun and they go on the other side of the room.

"You can sit here, Baekhyunnie," Chanyeol points to a stool, Baekhyun sits down. Chanyeol sits down on the floor next to Baekhyun's chair.

"Are you sure you don't want to sit here?" Baekhyun questions.

"No, you're the special guest, you get the best seat," Chanyeol explains.

For some reason, Kyungsoo and Jongin pop into Baekhyun's head.

"Hey, Yeolie," Chanyeol looks up at Baekhyun and hums. "Do you and Jongin want to have a play date?"

Chanyeol's eyes get bigger, "Really, Baekhyunnie?"

"Of course, you two can play with your stuffed animals while Kyungsoo and I can catch up, and possibly watch the game," Baekhyun explains.

"Wow, when are they going to come over? I really missed Nini," Chanyeol's expression becomes excited.

"Well I would need to get in touch with Kyungsoo," Baekhyun says.

"Okay!" Chanyeol gets jumpy. "But Baekhyunnie, Mr.Hugglesworth is wondering if you would like some tea."

"What type of flavor of tea?" Baekhyun questions.

"It's a happy tea! Mrs.Buttercup made it, she has the best tea recipes!" Chanyeol smiles as he points towards to the teddy bear across the table.

"Interesting," Baekhyun nods. "Well, I wouldn't mind having a sip."

Chanyeol always uses real tea in his tea parties which kind of scares Baekhyun that he might hurt himself but he's actually very good at hosting a tea party. Chanyeol grabs the small tea pot and pours tea into the matching tea cup, "Here you go, Baekhyunnie."

"Thank you, Chanyeol," Baekhyun takes the tea cup and takes a sip of the tea, a strong lavender scent hits his nostrils. He takes a sip and is surprised at how delicious the tea tastes. Baekhyun puts down the tea cup, walks over to Chanyeol's stuffed animal and starts shaking her stuffed hand, "Thank you, Mrs.Buttercup for the delicious tea."

Chanyeol looks at Baekhyun cutely, Baekhyun trails back to his seat and sits. Chanyeol gives Baekhyun a wide smile, they resume playing.

After about an hour, Chanyeol puts all his toys back and puts the left over tea in the fridge. Chanyeol looks around for half the omelet he left for Baekhyun, no where in sight. He smiles as he thinks that Baekhyun ate it, Chanyeol goes upstairs to Baekhyun's room and crawls in bed. Chanyeol's always loves Baekhyun's big bed, the scent of Baekhyun is left on the sheets, and he always feels secure. Chanyeol gets comfortable under the blankets but feels lonely.

Baekhyun stops typing on his computer and calls Kyungsoo, the other line picks up.

"Hey, Kyungsoo."

"Oh hey, Baekhyun, what's up?"

"I was wondering if you would like to get together, Jongin and Chanyeol could go upstairs and play. You and I could watch the big game."

"That sounds great, we would love to attend. Is it okay if Jongin brings his favorite bear, he loves that toy."

"That's totally fine, believe me, I've lost count on how many favorite toys Chanyeol's had."

Baekhyun and Kyungsoo laugh, they both finish their conversation and hang up. Baekhyun hears a faint knock at the door then the door swings open, Chanyeol comes in holding his bunny stuffed animal.

"Baekhyunnie," Chanyeol looks at Baekhyun with his messy black hair.

"What, Chanyeol?" Baekhyun looks up from his computer screen.

"Can you cuddle with me?" Chanyeol asks.

"I will after I finish up my work, Chanyeol," Baekhyun says as he begins typing.

"Can I stay with you for right now?" Chanyeol questions.

"Sure," Baekhyun nods, Chanyeol sits down on floor and plays with his stuffed bunny. Baekhyun looks up at periodically to watch Chanyeol playing with his bunny plushie. The phone rings and Chanyeol looks up at Baekhyun, more work. Chanyeol gets uncomfortable from sitting on the floor, he moves to the leather couch with his bunny sit his lap.

Baekhyun hangs up the phone and looks over at Chanyeol. "Yeolie." Chanyeol looks up and tilts his head a little. "You must be bored."

"A little but I can wait for you to be done, Baekhyunnie," Chanyeol smiles and hugs his bunny.

"Are you sure?" Baekhyun questions.

"Yeah, I'm a big boy and I can face boredom!" Chanyeol boasts.

"Whatever you want to believe, Yeolie," Baekhyun laughs.

"Okay," Chanyeol puts his lips to his bunny's head, Baekhyun gets back to work but keeps getting distracted from Chanyeol doing any action, he shields his eyes from the younger and continues his work.

'Just ignore him, Baekhyun. Boss gave you a promotion, you can't let him down.' Baekhyun thinks as he really wants to get his work done but in reality, he just wants to spend time with Chanyeol.
