I ran through the forest quickly, ducking under low-hanging branches and jumping over twisted roots. I dared not look back because I knew it would cause me to trip myself. There was no point of looking back anyway. If I was going to look for anything, it'd be a low branch that was stable enough to swing myself onto. I found one that was close enough to the kind I desired and jumped up to grab the branch before pulling myself up. Usually, this would be the time for a break but I wasn't at a safe enough distance yet. I looked up to find the next highest branch and quickly made my way about a third of the way up the tree. Only then did I lean my back against the tree and catch my breath.
The lights flickered on to their full brightness and the overhead speaker crackled to life, “Nice job, Agent Ember, your instincts are getting even better.” I ducked my head in gratitude and allowed myself a small smile. The speaker continued, “Duke would like you to report to his office as soon as you are available.”
I nodded, “Yes, Sir,” and started to climb down and make my way out of the training arena. I stopped by the changing room and took off my gear, shoving it in my locker and putting on jeans and a loose v-neck. I slid my dog tags back on since I took them off for training. I’d made the mistake of keeping them on before, and they ended up getting caught on something and almost choked me. I made my way to the elevator and pressed the button for the fifth floor. I walked to the end of the hall where Duke’s office was. As I got closer, I saw him in there, like I expected, but there was also someone else in there, someone completely unfamiliar. New recruit? The agency always liked to keep ten Elites, but I just wouldn’t have thought they would have gotten a new agent so quickly after losing one. It’s only been two weeks since the group of three that left, came back a group of two.

So this is a new story I've been working on, but I've been getting busy with school and summer, I just got around to writing more of it
