Shadow woke up the next day feeling dazed. As she sat up, the door opened and Dec. Morgan walked in. In behind him though, was an older man with blond hair. Dec. Morgan gave a dazzling smile.
"Hi Shadow, this is Mr.Souh. He is here to take you back to his home." Shadow blinked and slowly got up and ran behind Morgan. She peaked out from behind him only showcasing her left eye and some of her face. He chuckled softly and flipped her into his arms bridal style.
"Come now, he checked out clear on everything. I even approve him. Why don't you get your things packed and meet us downstairs in the kitchen. Ok?" She nodded and leapt out of his arms and back onto the bed. Dec. Morgan shooed Mr.Souh out and followed right after. As he closed the door, Mr.Souh asked a question.
"What happened to her right eye?" Morgan looked down at that.
"From what we've been told, her captors tried to give her night vision and it went wrong. She has a scar running from the top of her right eyebrow to the bottom of her left cheek. Her eye though, it's freaky. That's all I can say." Right as he finished, Shadow came into the kitchen carrying a duffle bag over her shoulder. Mr. Souh grinned when he saw her and he waved.
"Hello, Shadow. Are you ready to go?" She nodded slighty as her amber eye flashed a bright green as she gasped. She hunched over gasping as Morgan bolted to her side. He wrapped his muscular arms around her and held her close as she started to thrash around. Suddenly she let out an ear piercing, hair rising, scream.
"Subject Eleven!" Morgan shouted. "Check yourself" Shadow immediatly shut up and went limp.
"What was that?" Mr.Souh asked, alarmed. The detective sighed and layed her on top of the counter.
"She has hallucinations and severe PTSD. The only way we've found so far to calm her down, has been to act like one of the kidnappers that had her. We found out that the people who had her called her Subject Eleven. We also found out that they preformed multiple experiments on her. When we drew her blood, we were suprised to see that her DNA wasn't totally human. She's a mutant. If she ever has a hallucination while with you, just call her Subject Eleven and yell orders at her." Mr. Souh nodded in shock but quickly composed himslf.
"What now?" H questioned.
Morgan replied, "It would be best to move her while she is asleep. She has major panic attacks when in public and is not around someone she knows. It will take her some time to get used to being in a new environment. Please try not to overwhelm her."
"I will try my best." Mr. Souh promised as Morgan picked up Shadow and started walking towards the door. Once they got outside, Morgan placed the girl into the jet that was on one of the landings. Mr. Souh jumped in right after them.
"Here," Morgan handed Mr. Souh a piece of paper.
"These are some things we found on her and some observations." he nodded and folded the paper to put into his coat pocket.
As Dec. Morgan stepped outside, he said one more thing.
"Keep that girl safe, you hear?" Mr. Souh smiled and nodded. With that the jet door closed and it took off.
Halfway through the flight, Shadow woke up. Startled that she wasn't anywhere she recognised she sat up and cringed for she had moved her left shoulder.
"Hey, you should take an easy," she heard a gentle voice say. She looked to her right and found a boy around her age with platinum blond hair and gentle violet eyes. He smiled softly at her and held out a hand.
"You look cold, do you wish to come over here and warm up?" he questioned. Shadow quickly analysed the boy and when she found no threat, she slowly scooted into the seat next to him. The boy slung an arm around her shoulders only to pull away when she winced.
"I'm sorry," he swiftly apologised. The girl shook her head and held her hands up.
'Don't apologise it's just my shoulder. I'm sorry if I frightened you.'
The boy chuckled and suddenly spoke. "Oh, in case you are wondering, my name is Tamaki," the girl signed back.
'Shadow'
"The name fits you," Tamaki answered. Shadow tilted her head to the side as if asking 'how so?' Tamaki shrugged slightly.
"It just fits" Shadow nodded and looked out the window.
'Where are we going?'
Tamaki chuckled, "Why home of course. You're a part of the family now so our home is your home."
Tamaki went on to tell Shadow about his friends, the Host Club, and many other topics. Shadow eventually leaned her head on Tamaki's shoulder and curled up; falling asleep.
Tamaki smiled and moved her head so it was in his lap while grabbing a blanket and draping it over her delicate form.
"Sleep well, princess."
