In all his years of government work Jack had never been scared. Until now. He almost peed his paints along with the 15 other people in the room.
The Hubble telescope had picked up a picture of a unnatural flash. It sent it back to Earth so the experts could find whatever this large piece of space junk was. But this wasn't any space junk. This was a 6 mile wide by 28 mile wide comet. It's course heading straight for the earth.
Jack was no genius, but that comet, if it hit Earth, would wipe out all of mandkind. And no movie facts would help the survival of the world. The Earth had a year left to prepare, but even if it sounds like a long time; it's not. Mark, the telephone dude, as Jack liked to call him, scrambled for the phone: "Hello, May I speak to the president, please?" he pause for a moment waiting for the woman to reply, "It's Mark Jase." He paused again probably waiting to be transferred. Soon he started yapping about the ginormous meteor heading to Earth and about the year we had such and such. He hung up the phone, "He's about to inform the U.S.A."
