I'm in the hotel bathroom, brushing my teeth. Audrey is sitting on the bed, watching skiing. the TV is large, flatscreened. I turn my head to listen. The Tele blares ski results from the world cup In skiing. "And as Mikaela takes the turn, the turn that cost her the race, or win it for her. And it looks like....OH! WHAT A FALL!" I rush out of the bathroom, toothpaste and all. The TV is doing replays. Mikaela has the carve all in order and suddenly, her uphill ski crosses over her downhill one, and she tumbles down the icy hill. The audio is muted so the sports reporter people can speak, but you can tell she's screaming in pain. "Well, folks" The reporter booms. "Looks like that's it for Mikaela this season. Who will be Team USA's next star? the weather is next, after this break."
