Blue haired woman: J-Join!? Don't be stupid! This girl cannot! She’s just a kid!
The blue haired woman became
enraged and pulled Midori's collar
close to her, as if she was ready to
beat the living daylights out of her.
Midori: Geez... don't pull me like that! Only during the night it's allowed!
Blue haired woman: I don't care what you say! That scrawny little girl can't pull it off!
Saki: (S-scrawny?!)
Saki felt shocked to hear what she was
being called. She was the only one
being left out of the conversation, and
decides to speak up.
Saki: Um… excuse me... May I ask a question?
The two woman who were arguing
both stop and look at Saki. Waiting for
her answer.
Midori: Shoot.
Saki: Um... It's about that guy standing over there... Why... Why did he kill that man?
Midori: ...Man? Human? He’s none of those. That thing you just saw was nothing but a monster... and we eliminate those monsters from the face of the earth. We wipe them out of existence.
Saki: But that’s..!
Midori: Don’t take it the wrong way honey. We do this for justice, but in an ugly way... we kill those who cause harm in our society. We murder those monsters to let other people live an easy lifestyle, but that's our job!
Midori stands up from her chair, and
raises her leg. She stomps her foot on
her desk and puts her arm on her leg.
Midori: Our duty, is to protect the lives of the people! We are…the Assassination Police Force Team!
Saki gasps when she heard that name.
Saki: So you're that... secret organization that everyone keeps talking about! You keep the peace from falling!
Midori: That’s right!
The blue haired woman facepalms
her face and sighs in a displeasing
manner.
Blue haired woman: It looks like we aren't that secret after all... If an ordinary girl like her knows about us. Then who knows what other sort of people know about us...
Saki: H-hey! I'll have you know, that I come from one of the most richest and most powerful families ever to be known! So of course I know who you guys are!
Saki stood up immediately from
where she was, feeling offended by
the blue haired woman's words.
Midori: Okay... enough you guys.
Midori started to continue with her
talk.
Midori: Alright, moving on then... the leaders of all the dimensions have allowed us to commit these evil acts around the world. They have allowed us to eliminate the trash and beyond. And Saki... I have taken a liking to you. Your powers actually.
Saki: My... my powers?
Midori: Yes, your powers. You hold a great power that we have never been able to accomplish before, and that... can help us lead to greatness, like never before.
Saki: My... my powers... I don't know about that… All I can do is shield myself, and I'm still not very successful with it... if I panic too much... Then surely my blocking skills will soon break...
Saki said it with the remembrance of
her bullies. She had no such
confidence in herself and was very
much insecure about herself.
Midori: That's true, but... if you were to train yourself even more now. Your power will help us grow our team stronger then ever before. I can even introduce you to a teacher of mine that can help strengthen your power. So... will you be able to join us then? Saki?
Saki remained quiet for a while,
feeling unsure about all this. She
looked down at her hands while
clenching them tightly, and soon
enough, she looks at Midori. Feeling a
bit of confidence in herself today.
Saki: Yes... I will join you!
Midori: Excellent! We can now welcome you to the Assassination Police Force Team! We are glad to have you as a new team member, and as of now! You're our teammate of course!
Saki smiled not knowing what
to say. Then suddenly, she remembers
something terrifying.
