Hoseok turned to look at him, "What's the last thing you remember, love?"

Jungkook scooted over to make room for Hoseok carefully, trying not to put pressure on the spots that hurt the most. Hoseok climbed in with a bit of hesitation, tensing when Jungkook curled into his side but became unaffixed not a second later, placing an arm around Jungkook without letting its weight drop completely on top of him.

"S-Sunghyon and his f-friends h-hitting me," Jungkook's voice was muffled by Hoseok's chest.

"Oh, baby," Hoseok soothed caressing Jungkook's side and running his hand through Jungkook's chestnut colored hair that was still streaked with blue. "I've got you, love, they won't hurt you anymore. Namjoon and I did a number on them, and that was before the rest of them arrived. We found you when we were walking back because Namjoon lost his textbook in the 10 minutes he was holding it before class, which isn't really surprising, is it?" Jungkook answered with a tiny giggle. "Sunghyon is probably going to be expelled and his friends have been suspended for a few days, but that's only because the need to talk to the superintendent to make it longer. I wish they were expelled too, but they don't usually harass you like Sunghyon."

"Thank you, hyungie," Jungkook said while lifting his head off of Hoseok's chest to look up at him earnestly.

Hoseok felt undeserving of Jungkook's thanks, though. "If only left the classroom earlier, if only I had walked you to class or, fuck, if I had done something after the first time I-"

"Seokie hyung," Jungkook cut him off, "you all saved me, no matter what you say. Without my hyungs, I don't think I would be alive right now. After Junghyun left for college, I had no one to protect me. You don't know what it felt like to wish every single day that you were just like everyone else, to be outcasted and hated just because you liked different things than rest of them. Then Tae Tae hyung, Minnie hyung, Yoonie hyung, Joonie hyung, Jinnie hyung, and you, Seokie hyung came into my life and made me feel special. All of you did your best to protect me and now Sunghyon's finally out of my life. God, hyungie, do you know what this means?" Jungkook asks excitedly to a bewildered Hoseok still trying to take in everything he heard and the way Jungkook's mood did a complete 180. Jungkook gives a slight laugh at Hoseok's expression. "Seokie hyung, this means I can finally be happy with you and the rest of the hyungs!" He threw himself into Hoseok's embrace, disregarding the protesting of his small body. "I don't have to worry about him anymore!"

Hoseok can't help but laugh at Jungkook's cuteness. He kisses Jungkook's head once again, but Jungkook pouts at him and asks for a real kiss. Hoseok, of course, appeases Jungkook, but the kiss is all too short for him to be satisfied, though he doesn't complain. They cuddle in bed with Hoseok being extra careful not to touch the deep violet, almost black, bruises that covered his body.

The bed was really comfortable, a soft mattress that conformed around the shape of Jungkook's body, and silky sheets that slid smoothly against his skin. Jungkook was jealous of whoever owned this- "Wait, hyung, where are we?"

Hoseok shoots him an amused smirk when he notices his alarm. "We're in my room, baby."

"Oh." That doesn't make Jungkook any less confused.

"My mom asked to take care of you since she stays home and your aunt has to go to work," Hoseok explained.

"Oh." At this rate, he wasn't going to survive. He has to spend the day with Hoseok's mother and- he's in Hoseok's room! Does that mean he gets to sleep with him?

"If you want to, I'm sure we can arrange that. But hopefully, you haven't forgotten that I'm a cuddler," Hoseok replies with a shit-eating grin when he hears Jungkook's thoughts.

Jungkook turned as red as a strawberry.

No, Jungkook wasn't going to survive the next week. He has a weak heart.

That night Jungkook falls asleep curled into Hoseok's body, the pain effectively dulled by both his contentment and nerves.
