Saturday nights were supposed to be peaceful nights for Chuuya. For the following morning was the start of his day off from work and what better way to end a busy day than to relax in a hot bath, sipping a glass of wine with soothing, classical music playing in the background. It had been a part of Chuuya's weekly routine before his day offs and every week, he anticipates that one day dedicated to himself only.
Though in his case, knowing someone that goes by the name of Dazai Osamu, even if said bastard had already abandoned the Port Mafia and cut ties between everyone from his past, a consequence comes with it. And one of those consequences was his every week day-off routine getting sabotaged.
Like this very instance right now. Chuuya was already preparing a bath for himself when he heard his front door being opened and no questions were needed to be asked when a familiar voice called for the ginger "Chuuya~! Are you home?"
Chuuya tsked, turning the faucet off and walking out of the bathroom to greet his unwelcomed guest "What do you want, bast--?" he was only cut off when another besides the bandaged bastard had met him on the doorstep.
In Dazai's arms was a small child--Chuuya would guess he was probably around 3 or 4 years old--with, surprisingly, silver white hair staring at Chuuya with those wide purple-yellow mixture orbs of his. The little kid was only wearing an over-size white shirt--well it's definitely oversized for the small kid. Chuuya fell silent as his gaze never left the child who was thumbsucking in Dazai's arms, part of his brain trying to figure out where he had seen the kid and another part trying to fathom why Dazai had come to his apartment with him in the first place.
"Who the fuck is this?" Chuuya couldn't help but ask, pointing to the kid in Dazai's arms.
"Shh, language, Chuuya. You shouldn't be cursing in front of a child. Shame on you." Dazai scolded, faking a gasp as if shocked of Chuuya's behavior.
"I'm gonna stick that shame onto your ass if you don't hurry and tell me who that kid is, why you're with him and why are you here." Chuuya shot back, his tone sharp and threatening.
"Alright, alright. Actually, this kid is Atsushi-kun. He got turned into a child all of a sudden." Dazai then explained, looking at the child who he introduced as Nakajima Atsushi, his colleague from the Agency.
Chuuya followed Dazai's gaze with a confused look in his eyes "You're telling me... that this kid is the Atsushi from your Agency? That cute kid with the tiger ability?" he asked, pointing at the child who was still staring at him with wide eyes and a thumb on his mouth.
"Yep!" was Dazai's cheery response, almost as if it made more sense if that's all he replied.
"What the f--what happened to him? Why is he like... that?" Chuuya then asked, gesturing to the kid to emphasize what he meant.
"Ah, before we talk about that 'cause it might be a long story, perhaps you could let us in and we can discuss this inside?" Dazai suggested, also adding that his knees and arms were starting to get tired after having to carry Atsushi as he walked from the Agency to Chuuya's apartment.
"Give me one good reason I should be letting you in?"
"Is that your way of welcoming guests, Chuuya?"
"Guests don't trespass into other people's territory without permission, bastard." Chuuya pointed out.
"Come on, Chuuya~ my limbs are getting tired~ I've been carrying Atsushi-kun all day~" Dazai began complaining, much to Atsushi's amusement and the child began giggling all of a sudden, the kid's childish voice echoing in the room.
"Well he seems to be enjoying your suffering." Chuuya smirks, somehow admiring how much cuter Atsushi had gotten in his state right now.
"Eh~? Is that it, Atsushi-kun? Do you like seeing me suffer?" Dazai complains yet Atsushi only manages to giggle again.
