Claudia, before she knew it was on the balcony watching the fire officers rush off into the woods. She was fascinated, wind, rushing through her hair, dancing leaves pushing past her balcony and onto the road.
She rushed by both Steven and Kaitlyn only to be stopped by a strange shadow, she went to touch it... Her hand quivering along the way, as soon as she tried to grab it, it vanished...
Claudia was confused, as she felt her brain feeling fuzzy and dark, her sight being haunted by nausea and sickness, she fell to the floor, her ground being her saviour as Steven and Kaitlyn went to comfort her.
"We need to get you to New Havon... It will be safe there, you will get better there I promise" Kaitlyn whispered. Claudia replied grunting as Steven picked her up, her body lying in his arms.
They walked down the stairs of the apartment block as Claudia saw the shadow again. It looked like a girl, more nausea came to her head and she stopped, trying to clear her mind... Could this be... Her demons....?
"Mummy, I don't get it.."
"Get what sweetie?"
"What demons are mummy..."
"Demons, well someone's deamons are bad things that try and make us do things we don't want to, they make your world black and white, but don't worry sweetie, you are very lucky to have friends and family who will gladly chase them away for you." Her smile radiated from her onto Claudia making her smile. She brushed Claudia's brown ashy hair to the side and gave her forehead a kiss.
"Mummy"
"Yes?"
"What do deamons look like?"
"They're like shadows but with red horns and eyes" Claudia flinched, even as a child and now she was always so afraid at the littlest things."I will be here with you Claudia... So there is nothing to worry about..."
Her mother... Claudia remembered her vividly... Like she was only her caretaker... She remembered that day, only an hour after her mother said that... She found her mother took her own life.
"I love you Claudia... So very much"
Claudia's heart shattered remembering her mother...
"Don't cry sweetie, I'm here"
How much she cared...
"I'm so lucky to have you as my daughter"
How could she be like her mother once taught her to be...
"I'm so proud of you...""WE ARE HERE NEW HAVON!"
