A/N: As you can see in this chapter, I was struggling with sticking to either past tense or present tense. Go 14 year old me!
Chapter IDK
"Mazey," a voice states from behind me.
I turned to see Harry scowling at me. "Hey, Harry," I greeted with a smile. He beckoned me over to him with his pointer finger. Why was he angry? I wasn't even fifty feet from the house. I didn't move closer.
"Mazey. Come here," he commanded.
I shook my head. He pointed at the ground in front of him. "I didn't do anything," I said.
Harry suddenly loomed over me, and I shrunk back in fear. He crossed his arms over his chest. "I thought you were done running."
I rolled my eyes. "I am," I said softly.
"Then why are you out here? I told you not to leave the house," Harry said angrily.
I hung my head, avoiding his harsh gaze. "I was going to come back..."
Harry was frowning at me, I could tell without looking. "I find that a little hard to believe."
I sighed. "I had to get out of that house! I couldn't breathe! You were suffocating me!" I exclaimed.
"Mazey, those guys are after you! You could have been taken away and I wouldn't have known! Keeping you inside is for your own good," Harry snapped, turning me back towards the house.
I grumbled in reply, stomping forward. "I wanted to do something nice for you guys, but whatever!" I growled.
Harry grabbed my hand, spinning me to face him. "You don't need to do that, love," Harry said, touching my cheek. "I like having you around. As do the other boys."
"I just worry that if you're protecting me someone will get hurt, and I couldn't live with myself if that happened," I mumbled.
Harry squeezed my hand. "What were you going to do?" he asked.
I pointed to a bed of flowers. "The woman who owns that garden told me I could pick a few to liven up the house. It was the only thing I could think of, and I know it's girly but... I wanted to do something," I explained.
Harry smiled at me, his dimples incredibly deep. He guided me over to the flowers, grabbing a single yellow daisy and tapping the tip of my nose with it. I grinned, kneeling to pick a few more, bundling them in my arms. Harry stuck the yellow daisy above my ear, and two more in my french braid. After I had a good bouquet, we marched back to his flat, where Harry got a vase and filled it with water. I gently slipped the flowers in, admiring the color it brought to the flat.
Harry pulled me against him, kissing my cheek. "Don't scare me like that again, okay?" I nodded against his chest, wrapping my arms around his torso.
He kissed the top of my head before stepping away. "What do you say we go on a date?" he asked, playing with the daisy in my hair.
I nodded, grinning. "Sounds nice to me."
Harry nodded towards the bathroom. "Go change. lou bought you some new clothes."
Before departing, I bounced on my tiptoes, kissing his cheek. "Sorry for making you angry," I said softly. As I turned to go to the bathroom, Harry grabbed my hips, pulling me in so he could kiss me.
I felt heat rushing to my cheeks and Harry's smile against my mouth. "I love how you blush when I catch you off guard," Harry whispered, resting his arms on the small of my back.
I put my arms on his chest, staring at his deep emerald eyes. "Aren't I supposed to go change?" I asked teasingly.
Harry smiled, pushing me away gently. "Yeah, go ahead, love." He slapped my bum lightly when I didn't move away fast enough.
"Harry!" I gasped, glaring at him.
He smirked and winked, jerking his head towards the bathroom, signaling for me to change.
