Percy rode the train from Hogwarts to platform Nine and Three Quarters. The whole way he was in a car with Poppy, Piper, Tommy, and Luna.
Piper was picking on Tommy about different things the whole time, he just gave halfhearted replies back not even bothering to wipe the smile from his face. Luna was in her own little world, reading a magazine upside down. Poppy was hanging onto Percy, babbling on and on about different things while petting Bo. The kitten was resting in Percy's lap, trying to drown out the rest of them and take a nap.
Percy chatted, smiling the whole time.
When he got off the train, into the station, and had to say goodbye to his friends, they spent a good ten minutes hugging. Poppy even dragged him over to her parents.
Her mother had Poppy's completion and dark hair. Though her father had the amber eyes and slightly goofy way of carrying himself. They thank him for watching out for their daughter and he told them it was his pleasure.
After that, he managed to get into Diagon Alley. Figuring that he needed an owl, and now he might as well get one.
Once he got into the store, the owls all seemed to balk at him, trying to snip at his hair as he passed. Though one owl, grey and flecked with black, with brown eyes, just seemed slightly displeased with him. Once he said he'd buy her, the shop owner jumped on the chance. Apparently, the owl hadn't liked anyone that interacted with her. The shop keeper said it was lucky she hadn't bit at him.
So he got his owl, naming her Anela and walking out with a bird cage. Percy had to get on an airplane, Blackjack couldn't carry his trunk and the owl cage and him. It wasn't feasible. And the flight he had bought left the day after he got into London. Meaning a night at the Leaky Caldron.
The next day he was on his plane, Bo and Anela with the other animals, and his luggage wherever they kept it. The whole time he muttered prayers to different gods, keeping it to the minimum amount of turbulence.
Once he was at the New York airport, he carted all his things around.
But once a certain blonde caught sight of him, he had to brace himself. She jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist, and kissed him. He hadn't been able to go home for the past three weeks. Making this reunion even more needed.
Percy and Annabeth only broke apart for air.
And they talked and talked, the entire cab ride home she was in his arms and talking away.
Bo and Alena rode in the main part of the cab with them, not glaring at each other, but neither was particularly happy with the other.
Annabeth helped Percy carry all his things up to the apartment and move them inside. His Mother and Paul were out, neither knew Percy was coming home. He had made it sound like he just couldn't make it because of school. But he planned to surprise them.
He had worked it all out with Annabeth.
And as he let Bo curl up on his bed and Alena sat on his desk in her cage. He had packages for her to carried in a few days. Tucked amongst his things.
He got changed, from his travel clothes to just another pair of jeans and t-shirt. Annabeth sat down next to Bo on the bed and smiled. "I've heard a lot about you. Glad to finally meet you." Percy hadn't been able to bring Bo for the weekend he came back home, not taking the risk of carrying her on Blackjack.
Annabeth laid back and lifted Bo up, giggling as she nuzzled the kitten and set her down.
Percy sighed and pulled his T-shirt over his head and smoothed it out. When he turned back to his girlfriend she had laid on her side and started to pet Bo. Percy sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed, smiling softly at the white kitten snuggling up to his girlfriend.
"What's up?" Annabeth sat up and wrapped her arms around Percy's shoulders from the side. "School?" She kissed his shoulder, and smiled up at him.
"Yeah . . . " He rubbed at his face and yawned. "It's fine." He brushed it off and wrapped an arm around Annabeth. He pulled her into his lap, Annabeth only kissed his neck. "I had another dream. Right before break, it freaked me out so bad I ran all the way to the Headmaster's office. ONe of my professors calmed me down enough to get me to go back to my Common room." He pushed a curl back from Annabeth's face and kissed her brow.
"What happened?" Her words were soft and low, like it might not be a comfortable subject.
Percy frowned, tapping a finger on Annabeth's thigh. "Harry had eyes like a snake, he talked in hisses. He leaned over this guy on the floor. Bit him. That's when I woke up and started running." He bit his lip and tightened his grip on Annabeth's waist, holding her to him. "Apparently Ron's dad got attacked by a snake and Harry had a dream about it. That's all they would tell me. I'll probably get a full picture of it when I can talk to Hermione again."
Annabeth frowned, cupping Percy's face in her hand and making him look at her. "You'll get through this." She kissed his cheek and tucked her face into his neck. Bo meowed and curled up in Annabeth's lap.
He would get through it, he knew that. It was the others he was worried about.
When his mom got home, he let her get into the kitchen. When he passed Paul and held up a finger to keep him quiet, he snuck up behind his mom. He looked over her shoulder, spotting a package of chips. "Oh, thanks." He said while reaching over her to grab at the chips.
Sally turned around, startled, and smiled so wide when she saw who it was. After serval hugs, and few smacks on the arm, they all laughed together and got on with the holidays.
Percy thought about his friends in the UK as he spent Christmas with his family. While he was at the Leaky Cauldron he had arranged for serval packages to be sent out. A bag of Fizzing Whizzbees for Poppy, some Bolandi's Exquizite Crystallized Pineapples for Tommy, a set of color changing nail polishes for Piper, a earrings made of Butter Beer corks to match the necklace Luna already has, a set of books for the complete history of Charms for Hermione, a box of Chocolate Frog for Ron, and for Harry a box of Sugar Quills.
He was not expecting getting anything from any of them.
But when he had woken up that morning, a pile of boxes had been at the end of his bed. Annabeth had made him opened them all up in front of her as she sat beside him in one of his shirts. Poppy had gotten him Pink Coconut Ice. In his gift from Piper he unwrapped a book about Quidditch. Tommy had gotten him a book on Defense Spells. From Luna he had gotten a flower crown and a bag of dried plant that were to ward off against serval nasty creatures. Percy explained to Annabeth that Luna believed in all sorts of little pixies. Hermione had sent him a set of new quills.
But the one he didn't expect the most, was a jumper from Mrs. Weasley. He blinked at it. The color was sea green, like his eyes. With a huge letter 'P' on the front. He made sure to remember to send that wonderful woman something when he got back.
Annabeth bullied him into wearing the 'jumper' all day. Saying it looked 'so cute' as she climbed out of the bed and kissed his nose. So Percy exchanged his old T-shirt for the sweater, and let Annabeth and his mother fawn over it.
He had gotten Annabeth a necklace, the charm a heart locket with their first initials carved on the back. And he had put a picture of them both in the locket. She loved it and gave him his present. A black shirt with the words 'Claimed By Annabeth Chase' in bold white font. Besides that she got him a bundle of blue candies.
It was an amazing Christmas.
Everyone eating blue cookies and drinking hot chocolate.
But the day came that he had to go back to Hogwarts. He flew back and spent a night at the Leaky Cauldron again. He made sure to send Molly a big bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates. A note along with it, explaining how much the gift meant to him and that if they needed anything just to ask. He sent Arthur a book on the history of electronics. The man loved Muggles.
His Winter Break was amazing, but Percy was ready to get back and try and help as much as he could.
