With her black skirt swaying in the wind and a coat hanging over her frame as the cold breeze softly blew her hair, she walked in her black converses as her brown eyes darted around the neighbourhood. A black face mask clung onto the lower part of the girl's face and her hair was tucked in a beanie.
After asking people around for directions, she finally got to her destination.
Jing Yaa Tang Restaurant.
Opening the door slowly, she found herself in a warm-looking place, contrary to the weather outside. Her eyes darted around the room, taking in the cozy atmosphere. Yellow fairy lights hung from every wall, giving off an intimate feeling. The not-so crowded place had few windows on the right side and a counter on the left. She looked around for the boy she had wanted to see for a long time.
A waiter soon approached her with a thin register in his hand after seeing her looking around with a confused expression. "Good evening, ma'am." he said. "Have you made a booking?"
She nodded and checked the clock that hung on the wall before saying, "Uh yes. By the name Fu Xuxi."
After checking for the name in his register, he said, "Okay ma'am. There has been a man waiting for you there since half an hour. Please follow me."
She followed him hesitantly, a million thoughts rushing to her head. "Why did he come so early?" she thought.
A few seconds of walking and they finally reached a booth. The waiter bowed and said, "Please call us when you're ready to place your order. Enjoy your night."
She looked towards the man seated. He wore a black snapback and a mask so his face wasn't clear, but she could already tell who he was.
"Thank you for waiting, Fan Chengcheng." Min Jiyeon spoke as she smiled at the brown-haired boy.
