Guess I gotta put a warning that this is kinda mature lol

"You're so much better than me at Biology, I don't see why Miss Fuentes didn't just put you in a group by yourself. You're talented enough." Michelle states, looking through some notes I made in our last biology lesson. Maybe it is one of my strongest subjects, but that doesn't mean I want to do the whole project by myself - especially if I have the option to work with Michelle.

I roll my eyes at her, not that she's currently looking at me.
"Once again, Michelle, you've really outdone yourself with the compliments. But I guess it's all I'm getting right now, so I'll have to take it." I laugh and shake my head as I gaze at Michelle over a mound of biology papers.
"Really, Steph? You're not getting anything else at the moment?" Michelle reiterates doubtfully, now looking up too. She raises an eyebrow slightly.
"I know it's probably gonna shock you, considering the glo up I've had, but yes, I'm still single," I reply, winking at her.
"Just because you're single, it doesn't mean you wouldn't be getting anything," Michelle bluntly points out. "I know what you've been like in the past."
"Um, Michelle, have you met my parents? They'd go through the roof if I even mentioned the words 'one night stand', let alone had one. I'm not a woman of the night, contrary to popular belief." I shrug.
Michelle laughs.
"Since when were you even considered a woman? Last I heard, you still refuse to answer the house phone."
I roll my eyes again.
"Because that's clearly a sign of womanhood," I answer sarcastically. "What normal person does answer the landline anyway?"

Michelle laughs before looking back down at my notebook, going through everything we need to include in our project on human biology. I've got all the facts down, it's just she's the more organised one, so I figured she could make it a little more presentable.

"Do you want me to get some pens and stuff?" I ask, standing up.
"Yeah, please, and some paper to copy everything across?"
I pretend to consider it for a moment before nodding.
"Well, I guess that might be helpful." I laugh before heading to my room where I keep all my art stuff - the only other subject I'm really any good at. Well, I mean I can dance, but I mean anything not performing arts-related.

I grab a few packs of pens and some paper before catching sight of myself in the mirror. Jeez, why did I wear this to school? I look like a mess. I know Michelle won't care - I've known her for ages - but I always want to look my best for her. She's special.

... and also extremely cute, but I think we both know that.

I grab a pair of black skinny jeans and a small red tank top from my wardrobe, chucking an open black shirt over the top, trying to look like I haven't tried that hard. Because I don't want Michelle to pick up too much on the fact I've kinda gone a bit too dressed up for her.

I pick up the pens and head back downstairs towards the kitchen, where Michelle's still sat on a bar stool at the island counter.

"I got some stuff," I say, placing it down besides the completed worksheets.
"Hey, could you explain this bit to... woah," Michelle looks up and sees me and raises an eyebrow. "You changed?"
"Yeah, I wanted to freshen up," I explain, moving round the counter towards her. I rest my hand on her back and look down at the sheet, seeing what she needs help with. "You need help with this topic?"
"Yeah, I just don't quite... understand this bit about endorphins..." Michelle says slowly, clearly distracted by something. I'd like to say it's me that's on her mind, but I'm not that big-headed. I try to keep my focus, despite the fact I've now realised how close we are.
"Well, they're basically chemicals that act as analgesics, which means they reduce the feeling of pain. They also trigger a positive feeling in the body, like morphine would," I say, glancing up at her. "The body produces them during exercise and, well, when other stuff happens."
"Oh." Michelle nods slowly, gently biting her lip.
"Do you need me to demonstrate?" I joke, winking at her. She suddenly goes bright red.
"That was a joke, don't worry," I add quickly, though it's not like I'd be against the idea of doing things with her. But obviously it's all about her consent, and I don't think she's interested.
Michelle looks at me still, causing me to blush too. Shit.
"Are you-"
I'm interrupted as Michelle stands up quickly, pressing her lips against mine, wrapping her arms round my shoulders.
