Chapter 24

(Spencer's POV)

"It's fine just calm down." I said to myself, while pacing around the room. I quit pacing and sat on my bed and tried calling Allie again, but like always she didn't answer.

It's been 6 days since I've seen or talked to Allie. She hasn't gone missing or anything, it's just that when I do see her and try talking to her, she just cuts me off with, "hey babe I can't hang out today I'm busy," kisses me on the cheek and walks away.

As far as I know, Allie doesn't work or have a job, so where could she be going. Maybe she's getting tired of me, I thought, while laying back on my bed. I mean yeah I'm still a little quieter, but I do talk more than usual and I do like doing fun things sometimes, alot of times I like reading.

My eyes widened a bit, "Maybe she's getting bored of me, but she wouldn't. I mean she loves me and I love her, right?" I sat up on my bed and shook my head,"ok I think I'm just overreacting I'm just gonna clear my mind and go sit on the patio outside."

I got up and left my room, went downstairs to the front door and sat on the swing on our patio."

I sat there watching kids playing outside and birds flying around. It was nice.

"Hey hun, what are you doing out here?" I looked to my left and saw my mom standing by me. She walked over and sat by me.

I smiled, but it went away. "Mom, I think Allie doesn't like me anymore," I said looking at her.

She tilted her head a bit,"what makes you think that?" "Well she hasn't hung out with me in a while and she always blows me off, saying she's busy, and whenver I call or text her, she never answers." My mom sighed then smirked a bit," Spencer, whenever I watch you and Allie together, I see nothing but love and happiness, so whatever reason she has ignoring you is probably a good one. She'll come around eventually. If she doesn't then she'll be dealing with me."

I smiled,"thanks mom." She gave me a hug," you're welcome hun, now let's go get something to eat."

"Ok I'll make lunch this time-

"No. Let's go into town and eat somewhere." I smiled,"ok, cool."

We got in the car and started driving. Once we got into town we started looking around for a place to eat, but something caught my eye.

We stopped at a stop light and when I looked out my window, I saw Allie. Not only did I see her, but I saw her with some guy laughing. I watched them for a bit, until they got in his truck and drove off. I felt like crying, but held it in so I wouldn't worry my mom since she was in a good mood.

The rest of the day was just a blur. When we got home I went straight to my room, shutting and locking my door and started crying. I knew it was too good to be true. How could I think me and Allie could actually be together. It was only a matter of time, until she got bored of me and moved on.

I stayed laying there when I heard a buzzing noise on my night stand. I looked up and saw it was my phone. I grabbed it and saw a missed call from Allie, oh now she finally whats to talk to me. Seconds later I got a text from her saying, sorry I've been ignoring you lately, but I'll explain everything to you tomorrow. I love you!! Xoxo.

I didn't text her back and threw my phone down and continued laying there. I'm so stupid.

(Allie's POV)

"Hey thanks again for giving me a ride. I would've walked, but I've been so tired lately."

"No problem, but tell me again why you're working every job,24/7, in this town again." We got in his truck and I smiled,"ok don't tell anyone, but I'm saving up money to buy my girlfriend this beautiful dress," I said shutting the door.

He smiled," what's so special about this dress, can't you just get something else?" I glared at him," no it has to be this dress!" He held up his hands in defeat," ok calm down, I was just saying if you have to work this many jobs for one dress, is it really worth it."

I smiled, "yes if you love someone as much as I love Spenc then you'll do anything for them, even buy a dress thats a little over $3,000."

He looked at me with wide eyes and I looked at him and laughed a bit and
shook my head. We continued talking a bit until we got to my house.

"Thanks for the ride again," I said getting out. "Anytime." "Bye Jake," I said waving bye and shutting his door. I went inside and saw my mom asleep on the couch, she must've worked hard too. I walked over to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek and went to my room to put my things up. I then grabbed my purse and all my money and walked to the kitchen.

I left a note saying I was burrowing the car, grabbed the keys and left for the mall. I got in the car and started driving. "I should have the exact about of money and then some, hopefully its enough." I said to myself.

I got home carefully laying the dress down and crawled into bed. This feels so nice, I thought to myself then fell asleep.

Beep Beeeep Beeep

I hit my alarm, morning already, it felt like I just fell asleep. I sat up and saw the dress I bought for Spencer and my mood quickly changed. I got up and took a shower and started getting everything ready.

(Spencer's POV)

It was only 2 hours until prom and I was putting the last touches of making on my face. I decided I would still go to prom and give Allie a chance to explain herself when she got here. Closing the lipstick container, I heard the door bell ring and knew who it was. It was only minutes when I heard a knocking at my door.

"Can I come in?" "Yeah," I answered.

I saw Allie walking in, in the most beautiful dress, but quickly remembered I was still mad at her. I walked by her and straight into the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"You look beautiful." She said hugging me from behind. I ignored her and nodded my head. Once I was done I wiggled out of her arms and sat on my bed to put my heals on.

"Ok I don't know if its just me, but I have this feeling your upset?" She asked looking at me.

I stopped what I was doing and glared at her. She sat down beside me and started apologizing," look I'm sorry again for ignoring you-

"That's not why I'm upset, I'm upset because I saw you with some guy yesterday!"

Her mouth formed an o shape," oh, I can explain that." I looked at her to continue.

"Well first off I've been busy working, because I've been saving up to buy something and second off that guy you saw was my cousin."

When she said that guy was her cousin I felt embarrassed, " I'm sorry I just thought you got bored of me and moved on."

She sat by me and hugged me," I could never get bored of you. I love you." "I love you too," I said. She kissed me in which I responded back, but then I looked at her confused. "So why were you saving up money?" She smiled," I thought you would never ask." She got up and went outside my door and came back in with a dress, but not just any dress, but the dress I fell in love with and tried on at the store.

I got up and walked towards her," I can't believe you bought this. It cost a fortune." "Yeah, but it was all worth it to see someone beautiful like you wearing it. Now quickly put it on we don't have much time." I gave her a kiss on the cheek, grabbed the dress and put it on.

I came out after a while and the look on Allie's face was priceless. "Oh My Gosh! You look so beautiful! I'm going to prom with the most beautiful girl, who I also love." I looked down blushing," ok lets go now." She gave me a kiss and we headed downstairs and of course my parents where waiting with cameras.

"Our girls growing up so quick," my dad said. "Ok let me take a few pictures and then you can go."

They took pictures, for what seemed like forever and finally let us go. We got in the car and drove to the school.

This night is going to be great!
