"Jenny, Mrs. Stewart has just arrived. Are you ready for her?" My secretary Anna asked me, the moment I picked up the phone.

"Yes, let her in." Then I pressed the red button and the line went dead.

I stood up from my chair behind my desk, smoothed the black straight skirt I wore, and headed for the sofa and the glass table in my office. I usually preferred to meet my clients there. I broke the ice with them and managed to make them feel so comfortable at their first visit. For most of them, it was always awkward when they first came here. It was as if they were ashamed of reaching for matchmaker to help, although there was nothing shameful in my work.

"Mrs. Stewart." I saluted the blond-haired, middle-aged woman who came into my office, accompanied by my secretary.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Harper. "I smiled at her, holding my hand for a greeting.

"Would you like something to drink, coffee, tea?" Anna asked.

"Coffee please." answered Mrs Stewart.

"I'd like one too." I smiled at Annie, and she walked out of my office.

Ava Steward was a beautiful 40 years old woman. Behind her back there were two marriages and she was ready to embark on a new adventure. This time she claimed she was looking for true love, and for that reason she had sought my help. The few previous links in her words were "a complete catastrophe."

I quickly reviewed the survey that Ava had filled out when she applied to the agency. The poll itself contained about thirty questions that addressed different things. From what she likes to do during her free time, and what allergies she has, to what she's looking for in her sex life, and what qualities her husband needs in bed.

"Ava, let's leave the formalities aside." I smiled at her, leaving my file with Ava's poll and the short biography she had given me aside. "How do you feel in this sunny and pleasant for little walks day?"

I always wanted to start with questions that had nothing to do with what my clients had come here for. First I had to predispose them to feel like a friend so that they can share what they really want and look for in the opposite person.

I saw how much she was worried about at the moment. She rubbed her legs nervously, playing with her fingers, biting her lips, all signs of her anxiety. But a few side questions later, and she was already more relaxed. It seemed as if she had been relaxed, and she began to relax in front of me. Toward the end of her appointment, I can say with a hand to my heart that Ava felt like a friend of mine. We had discussed what she was looking for in a man, what she expects and what she would do. Shortly after she had left, I had already spotted a few men who covered her requirements, and whose requirements she also covered.
