It was yet again another great and perfect day at hockey practice for twelve year old Riley Anderson.
Learning that running away never solves any of your problems, she actually starting to like living in San Francisco, California.
And so were her five emotions, who now worked together as a team.

Mind World:
"Great job everyone", Joy said happily to her colleagues.
"Well if it wasn't for my determination, we've would have lost to our competitors. No one makes us lose in front of our parents. NO ONE", Anger replied, a few flames sprouting out of his head.
"At least Mom and Dad were cheering on for us when we won", Joy said.
"Yeah, they're very...supportive", Sadness agreed with her positive best friend.
"That's pretty much very true", Disgust replied, while fixing up her long and sparkling eyelashes.
"You're right, Sadness. Our parents are very supportive for us, especially when we're feeling down", Joy agreed with her blue companion.
Sadness gave her one of her small and simple smiles. Joy smiled in return.
"Wow, ever since you two stopped Riley from running away and made your first core memory you've become such great friends", Fear said to the two girls, impressed by their new friendship.
"Yeah, we've just put our differences aside and we've become really good friends with each other", Joy replied.
"Yeah..I agree", Sadness agreed while sighing.
"Come on. Don't be so glum, chum", Joy said as she walked up to her friend and hugged her.
"Okay", Sadness said as she hugged her yellow companion in return.
"You know, since you two have the colored eyes and hair you two could be sisters", Disgust said, "I mean, you guys pretty much appeared in Headquarters at the same time when Riley was born".
Hearing those words come out of her green friend gave Joy an idea. She always saw Sadness as a friend, but she also saw her as the sister she never had but had always wanted in her whole entire life.
'That gives me an idea', Joy thought to herself.
"Very true, Disgust", Joy said.

That night in Headquarters, as all the multi colored memories were sent to Long Term Memory, as the other four emotions went to bed, Joy, as usual, had Dream Duty for tonight.
But instead of doing her usual night duty, Joy then placed herself into the recall tube and was then sent to Long Term Memory, on her way to start her plan.
                                  ***
It was the next morning and Joy finished the first part of her plan. "Let's hope this works", she said to herself before her colleagues walked down to start the day once again.
"Alright gang, ready to start the day", she said to them, acting her positive self.
"Come on, Joy. It's Saturday, can't we at least get the day off for once", Anger grumbled, tiredly rubbing his eyes as he walked.
"Oh don't be such a grumpy puss, but alright", Joy said to the red emotion.
*time skip*
Later that afternoon, Joy was finally ready to finish her plan, hoping that it would surely be a great plan.
"Attention. May I have your attention please", she said to her crew, "I have something I would like to share with you, especially you Sadness".
"Wait, are we in trouble or something", Fear said, worried.
"This better not be another one of your jokes, Joy", Disgust replied.
"No no, we're not in trouble and it's not a joke, it's just something I'd never thought I'd say", Joy said.
She then walked up to Sadness and said, "Sadness, you know how great friends we are".
"Yes, of course", Sadness replied.
"And remember when Disgust said that we're kind of look like sisters", Joy asked.
"Yeah", Sadness said.
"Well, you're kind of like the sister I've always wanted in my life so..Sadness, will you make me the happiest big sister and be my little sister", Joy said, holding out a slip of paper and pen to her.
The others were speechless, especially Sadness.
Sadness was a little hesitant at first, but then she smiled at Joy sweetly.
"J-Joy...I would love to be your sister", she said, tears of joy spilling out of her eyes.
The two friends hugged each other.
"Pfft, I knew it", Disgust said, without noticing that tears were coming out of her eyes.
"Disgust, are you crying", Fear asked her, rubbing her back with his hand.
"No, I just have something in my eyes", she sniffed, wiping her now running mascara with a tissue and blew her nose.
For almost what felt like an hour, Joy and Sadness couldn't separate from their hug.
Now they were finally sisters.
The End.
