Life held her hand over her mouth as she gaze down at her old friend. S-she never knew...

He gave a shattered laugh, his eyes wide open... They held only pain and misery... They held a wish to die...

The god of death wanting to die... How funny would that be to an outsider...

"Sans... H-He was just a-a mortal..." The Goddess whispered, fear behind her words at how her friend would react.

The Sans gave a choked laugh as tears continuously fell. His smile held no laughter or happiness. It held no anger nor fear... It held saddness and heartbreak...

"I know... But..." The tired monster closed his eyes, his smile fading. "I see him when I close my eyes..."

The image of the bleeding monster in the white jacket appeared in front of Reaper's eyes. He saw how the skeleton smiled lovingly at him.

"Sans, you need to stop this... He is long dead... You took his soul... Please understand this... This ins't healthy..." Life held her friend as he slowly opened his eyes.

He smiled again, he was clearly tired.

"I know... That's why I don't go to sleep... I-I don't want to see him... I-I don't want to close my eyes..." Reaper broke down into more sobs, the grass and plants around him dusting and burning.

"Sans..." Life sat on her knees as she pulled her friend close to her. Tears were in her eyes, of course it was for a different reason than him. "I'm sorry... It's okay... As long as you love and remember him... It'll get better... It always gets better..."

The crying god nodded, whimpering silently to himself.

"I-I should get going... It was nice talking to you..." The skeleton monster left without another word.

He ended right in front of his brother, his hood back on.

"Sans?" The taller skeleton questioned, looking confused.

"Papyrus, I'm talking a few vactions days... I need some time to myself."

Then he left again, Papyrus, shrugging it off. His lazy bones of a brother had been working harder than he had ever seen him, so it wasn't like it was going to do anything to him.
