Annabel Smith

The cool breeze hit my face causing slight goosebumps to rise across my body. I inhaled deeply leaning further into the warm body holding me from behind, a pair of masculine arms wrapped around me making me feel safe and protected.

The shift of wind was another reminder that summer was coming to an end. The past two and a half months have been wonderful.

Magical even.

It has been so surreal. Practically spending almost every waking moment with Harry, outside, in the warm sun. Or snuggled up under covers watching movies when it's raining.

Spending time with the rest of the boys and Emily. Going shopping. Attempting to get at least a little bit of a tan. Reading. Relaxing.

Just enjoying what little time I had left before the boys left for their six month world tour.

It went by much too fast, but I tried to keep my mind off of it. I didn't want this summer to come to an end. It was perfect.

So completely perfect.

Harry and I had become so extremely close, as if we weren't enough already. I know he was thinking the same thing as me; what was going to happen when summer was over?

He, too, has kept quiet mostly about the situation.

I didn't want to think about it. I didn't want to think about Harry going off on a world tour. I know I decided to hold off on University for a year, and just spend time working and saving up money. But I was still scared of the distance. I told myself I would never do a long distance relationship, and look where I am now. It's just not permanant.

But Harry and I had grown so close, that a part of me knew that we could get through this. Summer can't last forever, and eventually, reality will step back in. We both knew this and were very aware of everything.

But with the love Harry and I have for each other, I honestly don't think anything could seperate us. Not something like this.

"You're thinking about summer ending, aren't you?" Harry spoke softly against my ear as we sat out by the lake. The sun was setting and the air was cool and calm. I was dressed comfortably in a pair of jean capris with a light pink cardigan over a black tank top and cream colored TOMS.

"Yeah," I practically whispered back, surprised he even mentioned it. But I knew we had to discuss it sooner than later.

His grip tightened around me, his fingers tracing circles over a little bit of my exposed skin on my stomach. His touch still seemed to make me giddy and excited all at once, and I realized how much I would miss it when we were apart for months on end.

"Everything's going to be okay." he said soothingly, gently swaying a little.
