  You bounded forward, smiling. This was his effect on you, the effect Jean had on you. The type of crush that could make you instantly ecstatic from merely his presence. No matter the mood. 

"Jean!" you chirped happily, a pale pink tint to your (s/t) cheeks. 

  The tan teen turned to you, "Hey (y/n)." he greeted, rubbing his neck nervously. 

  Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Connie, Sasha, and Armin watched you and Jean from afar. 

"So theres an expedition today... Our second one... Whoo..."  Jean muttered.

"Yeah. I'm on the Commander's Squad since well... You know..." your voice was somber and low. 

  The first expedition was terrible, so many died. Including (f/n), your friend. You two grew up in (h/t) together. Escaped the titans together, survived in the 103rd together. You both were 12 when you joined the Training Corps. He died on his second expedition, an expedition Squad Leader Hanji begged Commander Erwin to let you skip. And now? The 14th Commander was in power. Commander Hanji Zoe. 

"I'll obviously be on Captain Levi's Squad." Jean explained, "With Mikasa, Eren, Connie, Sasha, and Armin." 

"Right-" you began only to get cut off.

"Cadet (l/n)!" the brunette commander called out.

  You ran forward, to your commander. 

"Yes, ma'am?"  

"The objective is to capture the elusive Wolf Titan. Unfortunately, Captain Levi is on leave. I want you to lead Squad Levi. You have the skill." Hanji explained. 

"O-of course! I'll do my very best!" you quickly saluted. 

Hanji nodded, climbing onto her horse. Most everyone was on horses. You led yours out of the stables, saddling it up and climbed on. The horse trotted over to Squad Levi. 

"Squad Levi." you greeted. 

"Why are you here (y/n)? Shouldn't you be with Commander Hanji?" Armin inquired. 

"Captain Levi's on leave so the commander requested I lead his squad." you explained. 

  Soon the horses left the HQ, going through the streets, all the way to Wall Rose's gate. 

"THIS STARTS THE 58TH EXPEDITION! ONWARDS TO VICTORY!" Hanji yelled as the gates opened, with that the horses began charging forward. You included. 

  As titans approached from the sides, as planned the support teams took them out with precision. You whipped the reins, causing the horse to go a tad bit faster. You felt eyes on you. Everyone knew that you weren't qualified for the position of "Squad Leader", but you were the last resort. 

  Hanji rode on, seeing the titan she was looking for. A titan that walked on all fours with brown fur and long hair that covered it's face. It had claws, no lips, sharp canines. It looked like a wolf. Hanji grinned, "Special Operations Squad!" she called out. 

  A random cadet switched to the 3DMG, zipping towards the creature and drawing their swords. The beast roared, snapping it's jaws onto the cadet's wires. The cadet fell to the ground, dying on impact. Hanji called for them to retreat. Which they proceeded to do, horses neighing and whinnying, rushing back towards the Walls. Your squad remained, due to you not moving a single inch. 

  The Wolf Titan staring into your (e/c) eyes, you snapped out of your trance as it stepped forward. To you it was years, in reality it was mere seconds. 

"Squad Levi, run!" you screamed as you slid off your horse, the horse ran. 

  They ran, Jean hesitating. 

"I love you Squad Leader (y/n) (l/n)!" he called out, tears cascading down his eyes. 

"As do I-" the Wolf Titan roared, slamming it's paw down on your tiny frame. 

  Eren turned around, only to see your smashed body.
