A few days had passed, and your leg had healed exceptionally well.

You're expecting Nick and Nora to return soon enough. You weren't sure when they'll return, or where they even went.

Eventually though, you had to leave Diamond City. Especially with the residents knowing John was here, it was best to leave the damn place.

So you both did, sayig goodbyes and making your way back to Goodneighbor.

"I'm really set on buying that house." You said quietly, approaching the settlement of Goodneighbor. "I have the caps."

"You really planning on settling in Goodneighbor?" He asked, fixing his hat.

"Mm, yeah... I feel it may be best that I stop wandering around the wasteland so much without a plan in mind. At least for a while." You answered, now standing infront of the door to Goodneighbor. You made sure your bandana covered your face before glancing to John.

"Ladies first." John grinned at you as he held open the door. You rolled your eyes, but went through the door first, Joh followed after you. You knew exactly where you were going, towards Daisy to buy that property deed.

"So the stranger and the mayor of Goodneighbor return, anything you need?" Daisy asked, wiping at the counter with a rag.

"I'd like to buy that property deed off you." You said, Daisy looked up to you, slight suprise in her eyes.

"Sure thing, do you have the caps on you now?"

You moved your bag off your shoulders and fished around inside. Pulling out a stash of caps you handed them over to her, and in return she handed your the deed and key.

"Welcome to Goodneighbor." She said with a smile, you thanked her and pulled John along to check out your new home.

"Well, I can officially say this is one of the nicest places I've been in. You guys kept this place in top quality." You commented, after looking around the whole condo you now sat back on the couch. Hancock sat next to you, and you looked over before shifting your position.

Sitting on his lap, legs on either sides of his and you hugged him. If the past you saw the present you being so affectionate she wouldn't believe it. You were touch-starved, and you loved John. You couldn't denie it at this point.

The ghoul wrapped his arms around you and rested his chin on top of your head, you were content. You were happy.

M

aybe you should've shown up sooner, instead of running. Though, now it doesn't matter, he's here, you're here. You were completely content with this.

John brushed his hand through your hair, and rid it of any knots. You loved him, ghoul or not, in the past and now. You loved him because he was your first friend, the person you first fell in love with, and despite slapping him and storming off he came to you.
