Gloomy and Cold mornings

It was a cold morning. Not that cold though, a kind of coolness that would let a morning person wake up giddily and energetic early enough to start the day.

The sound of birds was cheerfully chirping outside the window. Flowers blooming gracefully. The townsfolk already awake to start their day. Mowing their lawns, washing their cars, literally anything considering how perfect this morning was.

A man stepped out of the door. He was in his pink pajamas. A coffee was in his grasp as he bent down to pick up the newspaper lying in front of his porch. Before turning inside, he stared at the morning sky, sighing heavily knowing that a beautiful view can be wasted in just a few minutes of the day.

"Now what could be the news this time..." he mumbled, taking a long elegant sip from his mug. His eyes carefully reading the words imprinted. "Blah..blah..boringgg.", the man never had any interest in news. It was a mystery though why he still uses it. Maybe just to add it up in his reputation as a professional. it'd make no sense, however. He flipped a page after another. Skipping to his favorite part. "Ah! There it is. Oooohh~ look at those beauties!", Oogling eyes watched every model wearing such incomprehensible fashion. Men and women, also children too, wore so much makeup while being dressed as what society thinks is popular these days.

"Those heels are so fine but not as fine as I am." He commented, continuing to judge every single detail of their fashion sense to his own opinion.

Flipping another page, his eyes widened as he read the headlines, causing to spray his drink out from his lips. He adjusted his glasses to clearly see if it was indeed what he read.

'... famous singer Travis Black finally proposes to Ashley Cris....'

Travis Black.

that shit..

After reading, the blonde-haired hastily crumpled the poor newspaper. "Jeez, how dare that jerk proposed to another woman  right after breaking someone's heart!", Clenching his fists firmly." I swear I'm gonna beat the heck out of his sorry ass", immediately he went upstairs.

Jane's POV

Mornings, as usual, are always gloomy for me. No matter how many would say that it's pretty much beautiful and should be appreciated. Ever since that day, mornings were starting to be gloomy in my opinion.

As you can see, I don't really like mornings. Well, I did. But it changed. It's a long story.

The atmosphere inside the room was dark and cozy. Thick curtains were blocking the sunlight outside. It'd be hard to tell if it was already morning without looking at the time or attempting to open the windows to see. To be honest, the atmosphere here is depressing. But I'm used to it. I was peacefully sleeping when suddenly, my roommate burst in.

"Get your ass out here young lady!" he practically shouted like a general to his soldiers. "The sun is out and you're just mourning over here!" He opened the windows wide causing to light up the darkness inside the room.

"...mmm...five more minutes.." I said, covering my self with layers of blankets to protect me from the harsh light.

"Oh hell no." The blonde guy then took the sheets away from me.

"nooo...Brent give it back. The light'll kill me. I'm begging you.." I whined, Brent only huffed, crossing his hands then went outside the room for a moment only to return with a spatula and a frying pan in his hands. Oh no...

"I don't want to do this but you left me no choice..." He warned, I only grunted in response. Moments later, loud clanging of utensils was heard near my ears.
