chapter 17

liz pov

me and Daniel walk down the street  in complete silence,  i want to go on to my phone but i know that will seem rude. so i just walk and drink my coffee. finally we get to the park. he hands me my bagel and i start eating it. finally he says something.

"why did you really leave liz?" i look at him. i go to talk but he cuts me off.

" and don't say it was just to take a break to find yourself, and all that guru stuff i know thats what you told everyone else but i don't believe it." i stare into his eyes. great. now i have to admit to the truth. "liz... you left me. alone with jack. i haven't talk to him since. as soon as i got out of the hospital he bought a ticket to Pennsylvania and hasn't been back.

wow i never thought of it that way . no i needed time to think about myself for a change. 

"Daniel i'm really sorry i never meant to abandon you like that. after that night i just wanted to clear my head and be with my family because it became too much for me." he just looks forwards and nods. 

"okay fine. but there was  no need for you to ghost me completely. at least check up on me or FaceTime me." he looks over at me with his bug eyes but they aren't as bright as they used to be. 

"everything was just so overwhelming and i was so scared that i had lost you i thought if i removed myself and something had happened to you it wouldn't be so hard on me." tears are rolling down my face 

he just looks at me disgusted but also sad. "well ummmm i didn't go anywhere i just had a broken jaw..." he laughs and whips the tears off my face. i let out a sigh and look at him. 

"are we okay?" 

he gives me a half smile. "you really hurt me. you were my best friend and i did nothing but always be there for you. i don't know if i can go back to where we were. we're good now just now i need some space." we just look at each other and both nod.

"okay, if that's what you want. im always here if you need me." we hug and get up and start walking back to the house."

we walk through the front door and all the boys are on the couch. they all look back in unison and give a weak smile. 

"we're good guys." Daniel says not looking at them and walking into the kitchen. I put my bag down and walk into the living room to see the rest of the boys. i sit down next to Jonah and grab controller. jonah looks at me and i give him a nod. We're good now we are just gonna be friends and im gonna give daniel some space." as im trying to talk my phone blows up with messages. jonah grabs my phone to see who it is.

UN: heyyyy saw that you went un ghost on social media 

UN: i would love to catch up and explain myself 

UN: common please answer 

UN: you can't not answer 

UN: you can't do this to me 

"hey Liz."

"mhmm" i look over at my phone as-well.

"looks like jack heard the news..."

hey so here's a new chapter lol after like a year of not writing or being on here i found this draft i started and decided to finish it. i could have ended the story right here and made is abrupt but i didn't think that was right lol.
