The lunch bell had rang. I had left my third period class, being P. E. with Martinelli. Thankfully today was a easy day with not that many work out activities but talk of basic rules of what to do what not to do, ect.
"OCTIIIII!" I had heard a voice calling out my name and at that racing at fast speeds towards me.
"WOAH!" Not even knowing what the hell happened I had founded myself on the floor.
"MELI!!!! WHAT THE HELL? WHY ARE YOU SUSPENDING YOURSELF AT HIGH SPEEDS AT ME?!" I had asked her irritated and questioning her.
"YOU'VE GOTTA HELP ME!!!!! I-IT'S HORRIBLE!!!!" I heard her exclaimed in such a drama queen voice.
"What could be so bad Meli?" I asked her in question to how she was acting in such a mortified voice as she acted as if she had eaten chocolate mint ice cream. Can't blame her though. That tastes
N A S T Y.
"THE CAFETERIA WAS GIVING AWAY FREE ICE CREAM. BUT- BUT-."
"But what?" I had cut her off.
"BUT IT WAS CHOCOLATE MINT ICE CREAM!!!!" She had exclaimed.
"OH YOU POOR SOUL. WHO DO I HAVE TO KILL?" I had asked her in sincere but murderous tone.
"The lunch lady's, No!, Better yet, the manufacturers who made Mint Chocolate!!"
"TO THE MANUFACTURE PLACE!" I had said already on my feet and started to march to the entrance.
"Oh wait, we're still in school. Haha." I said sheepishly.
"Moving on! Let's go to the cafeteria!" I said completely forgetting about my plans of revenge and focused on getting my lunch. I started walking to the cafeteria and sat with Melanie. I thought of telling her of how my official meeting with "THE" Elias Silvers was like, but turns out she had that on her mind too.
"So Octavia, how did your official meeting go with Elias go?..... You did talk to him didn't you?" Melanie asked curiously regarding the earlier conversation with Elias and wondering what he said if anything to her best so she could prepare the casket if he said anything he'd regret.
"No, I did, but he was actually the one who introduced himself first." I told her.
"Oh really?" She asked, again curiously.
"Yeah, but... he seemed cold and distant..." I told her.
"Oh? In what way? A distant way or a VERY distant way?" She had asked while in the process saying the same thing twice but just placing emphasis on one more than the other.
"Just distant, and you do know that both of those things mean the same thing." I replied to her as I pointed out her repetitiveness.
"Nooooo. There's a difference woman! One has very the other doesn't." She had retorted to my remake. Although I have to say, she in a way isn't wrong.
"Fine, fine. I'll give you that, anyway let's go get some food before all the good food is taken." She had said as her gleamed when she saw the famous one and only delicious nachos.
"Mel, control yourself. Don't let this become another tamale incident."
"It won't. I just really like food, you know that."
