The next day, I went to pick Rosie up for our date. I was nervous. What if she will get to know me and not like me? What if she changed her mind? These questions and many more kept running through my head and I walked up to her door. I knocked with shaking hands and waited. Rosie answered the door with a big smile and said happily " Hi George!"

" hi Rosie, 'ere, I got these fer ye" I handed her a bouquet of flowers and smiled back, trying to hide my nerves.

" aww thank you! Are you ready to go?" She asked

" umm, ye I am. C'mon" I held out my hand to her. When she hesitated, I pulled my hand back

" too soon?" I asked shyly

" no, I'm just not used to um, dating" she said with a nervous giggle

"Well, neither am I. I have no time for dating anymore"

She reached for my hand and took it with a smile. She looked absolutly beautiful that evening. Her hair was wavy and formed a blonde maine around her face. She had on blue jeand and a black jacket. The boots that she was eraring made her only an inch or two shorter than I.

" if you don't have time for dating, how is this gonna work?"she asked with a concerened tone in her voice.

" I'll make time fer ye. " I said, walking along with her.

" good. So where exactly are we going George?"

" well, I figured that since I can't really take ye out ta dinner that I would take ye foer a walk. I know its a shitty first date, but I dunno" I shrugged

" its not shitty. I like walks. I'm perfectly okay with this" she reassured me.

I let out a sigh of relife and continued walking with her. The streets were dark and empty due to the fact that it was about ten o'clock at night. I gently swayed her hand in mine as we walked.

" so, I know this is a bit personal, but how long have you been a werewolf?" She asked me

" oh, um, I've been one since I was seventeen. It happened on the bands first trip to Hamburg, Germany. I was really drunk one night and I still don' remember exactly how it happened. Apparently I was gone for like two days and I didn' know what I was untill the next full moon. But anyways, how long have ye been a vampire fer?"

" I have been one since I was eighteen. I had gotten into a fight with one of my friends the night it happened. I woulda waited till the morning to go home, but I got kicked out of my friends house. It was the middle of the night and I was attacked by a man on my way home. This man, Maxwell, took care of me for a year then he just dumped me on my ass. So now, I dance to keep myself alive, so to speak. But I'm pretty sure that was more than you wanted to know about me all at once"

" no no, I wanna learn everything about ye. Did ye know why this Maxwell fellow just left ye on yer own?"

" yeah, I think I know why. It was because I was no longer a new vampire and I didn't need him anymore. And he knew that I was becoming more powerful than him, so he left before I could 'overthrow' him. "

" oh. I didn' 'ave anyone ta 'elp me. I 'ad ta figure out what was wrong with me on my own. I wish I 'ad someone there ta 'elp me, but I got along jus' fine on me own. "

"Yeah, you seem to do alright. You're not like every other werewolf that I have met. Atleast you only kill animals, and not people"

" 'ow did ye know that I don' kill people?"

" well, its not hard to tell. You are the only werewolf in this area and there hasn't been any oddd killing by ' wild animals' lately. "

" but what about that other wolf that attacked me?"

" he's not from around here. He musta just got here and is tryong to claim some territory. But he is one of the biggest wolfs that I ever seen"

" I know! He made me look puny" I laughed a bit.

" but on a lighter note, I'm glad that I decided to bend the natural order of things to go out with you"

" 'am glad ye did too. " she walked alittle bit closer to me. So close, that I could smell her strawberry perfume.

" you wanna know something weird?" She asked me

" sure, what's weird, Rosie?"

" though I'm a vampire, I still get cold. "

It was a cold night I noticed. The wind was blowing and it was unusual for late March. I took off my jacket and put it around her shoulders

" there ye go. All better?" I asked. She nodded, putting her arms through the sleeves.

" but what about you? Won't you get cold?"

" nah, 'am a werewolf. 'Am always warm" I put an arm around her hesitantly. She blushed and leaned into me.

For the rest of our walk we talked about our childhoods and just life in general. I learned that Rosie lost her family at a young age and was emancipated at age 17. She was born and raised in London and is 21 years old. She was a very facinating person with a head filled with stories. The walk ended too soon. On her doorstep, she said

" I had fun. We should do this again"

" I agree. I 'ad a wonerful time with ye. "

" here" she pulled a pen out of her purse, grabbed my hand, and wrote her number down on my hand. " call me next time you wanna go out" she said

" ok Rosie. I will be sure ta do that" I smiled

" great. Good night George" she gave me a bigh hug, and I hugged jer back not really wanting to let go of her. She pulled away and smilled, kissing my cheek

" night RosieL I said, smiling like a total moron. She waved and walked inside, she was blushing a deep red. As I walked away, I put my hand to my cheek, and where she kissed me tingled as I walked home home.
