Painful Love

A Friendly Neighbor

Seokjin knew Jungkook had a special place in his heart.

Seokjin believed in Jungkook. How could he do such thing? Jungkook drew him close enough to hurt, and it hurts so much. The pain seems to suffocate him, closing off circulation.

The new student, Hoseok, is his neighbor. Hoseok is sweet enough to bring us something.

He heard about the vandalism and asks me about it.

His gaze lingers on me, making me feel subconscious.

"I'm sorry to hear that," Hoseok says genuinely.  "And Jungkook seems awful."

Seokjin chuckles wryly. "You don't know half of it."

Hoseok tips his head over to the side a little. "Oh? I would love to hear about that."

...

"Maybe I could try and talk to his friends." Hoseok suggested.

"They'd bite your head off." Seokjin warns jokingly.

"They're that bad?" Hoseok asks.

"Not really, try talking to Yoongi though. He's the most difficult."

"How so?"

"He's really grumpy and sassy. If you wake him up from a nap you're in deep shit."

Hoseok laughs, his whole face lighting up. "I would love to meet him."

"Why? He's so grumpy."

"He sounds interesting." Hoseok grins.

"I'll be impressed if you get him to like you."

"People say I surprise them more often than not."

Seokjin scribbles his number. "Friends?"

Hoseok nodded, his heart-shaped lips curling up into a smile. "Why not? You seem pretty cool."
