Understanding

Hoseok met Yoongi at the school garden the next day.

"I'm surprised you came." Yoongi says softly enough that Hoseok almost doesn't hear him.

"Why?"

"I assumed you were more of a rebellious type." Yoongi shrugged.

"I am. But I had to come here to find out about Jungkook and Seokjin's beef with each other. If it's really horrible I'm afraid I might have to kick Jungkook's ass."

"Woah, feisty aren't we?" Yoongi shakes his head.

"If Seokjin broke Jungkook's heart you would probably react the same way." 

Yoongi nods slightly to agree. "Of course. But how are you so sure Seokjin hasn't broken Jungkook's heart?"

Hoseok's eyes widen slightly. "He has? He never told me anyth-"

"Let me speak before you jump to conclusions," Yoongi cuts off sharply. Hoseok pouts, and Yoongi resists the urge to give in to him.

"Seokjin didn't romantically break his heart or anything. Nor has he tortured Jungkook." Yoongi pauses. "The thing is, when Seokjin befriended Jungkook, Seokjin was actually breaking Jungkook's heart. Well, starting to, anyways."

Hoseok looks at him, puzzled. "But how would that break his heart?"

"I think Jungkook likes Seokjin."

"What? Why? How?"

"Look, I don't know all the details. But assuming from Seokjin's charming and nice personality, Jungkook found Seokjin an amazing friend. And possibly more. And I only got this information from analyzing Jungkook and piecing the parts together."

"Woah. That's a lot to suck in." Hoseok takes a deep breathe. "But why did Jungkook get him in trouble even when he liked Seokjin?"

"I dunno. Something about his popularity bullshit." Yoongi shrugs, his eyes half-closed lazily.

Yoongi has a feeling it's more than that though. But he has no clue on what it could be. Yoongi senses Hoseok has a feeling too, but he keeps quiet for now.

"Thanks, Yoongi. I would like to keep in touch if..you know.." Hoseok says hesitantly. 

Yoongi smiles. "I would be delighted." 

He blushes, realizing what he said. Even Hoseok has a light dusting of red on his cheeks.

They exchange numbers and part ways happily.
