- I tell you, this coffee sort of date was such a disaster and I was a blushing mess, i can't believe I humiliated myself that much, its like I don't have any game anymore...

-GeT out of my place you sneaky bitch... I yelled at Matthew, who can't stop her laugher to get more and more obnoxious. I smile at him in the end and let myself relax and enjoy that moment of peace and happiness he always seems able to bring me.

It's been a few days now since I last saw Lauren, but we've been texting on and off, getting to know a bit more about each other and I have to admit it feels nice to be able to talk to someone who don't push you and understand that some things are not up for discussion. I loose myself in my memories, and my mind start to wander to places I wish life would be easier and more calm, don't get me wrong I love my life and how it is for the most part but sometimes a Hot Chocolate or coffee cup next to a fire place with a book to read or something to knit would suffice me too, maybe I can take some winter holidays some times this year and just do that.

Not having a lot to do today I decide to checl some emails and old messages, answer some questions and reply to Invitations to event from companies and their Gala. Im not a huge fan of party anymore, but I do answer yes to the invitation i get for the MET Gala, because that is an event you have to live at least once in your life, I cannot wait to know about the theme of this year Gala.

After that I make my way arounf the house and decide to clean it a bit to pass time,  it takes me two hours and a half to have everything settled and I finally relax bacl on my couch in front of the Tv with some chicken and rice. I turn on the discovery channel and find myself watching a documentary on sea-life, the squids and others weird animals living in the deepest part of the ocean, I immerse myself in it until I see from the corner of my eyes my screen phone lit up with a new message incoming, i reach for it and the name on the screen set off little tickles into my guts.

- Hey gurl, how are you? Look i was wondering if you wanted to meet soon? I have this gig at The Abbey bar in a week and I was wondering if you would like to join me there for the evening, we could go out afterwards or just chill or something, if you are up to?

I smile, giddiness taking a place inside me and without really having to think about it I reply to Lauren.

- Heyy, yes why not, it would be great to finally see you in charge of the mixer and to ear what your mixtapes are about. Im sure its gonna be fun, plus The Abbey is for what I know a great bar. As for the afterparty, I don't know we will see how it goes, but spending time with you would be lovely..

I send her the reply and wants to add a little something because Im not sure where I really want this outing to go so I add :
- .. as for the chill or something part, I can make no promises.

After a minutes waiting for a reply who doesnt come, I set my phone down and focus on the documentary again, whos now showing a calmar escaping from a boat trough a little hole in the ship guard walls.

I must have fallen asleep in between the sequences of the documentary because the next time I look at the screen,  another documentary is playing, I decide to turn off the Tv and got to bed. I set the dishes in the dishwasher and walk up to my room for my nightly routine, I plug my phon into the charger and goes back to the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth, once settle in my bed, I relax and turn off the light.

Just as I close my eyes a notification lights up the room from my phone and I cant help the smilespreading to my face thinking about Lauren's reply thats waiting there, to my surprise more than one message are sitting there on my screen, one from her and one from Matthew.

- I am spending the night on this giys boat and I m living my best life, I getting double lucky tonight bishhh, love you Dems.

I send him a quick reply of have fun and don't do anything I wouldnt do, and turn to my conversation with Lauren,

- Yeahh great, I cannot wait for this night to come, you will see Im sure well I hope you enjoy what I do because else what shitty date its going to be.. well if its alright for you to be a date? Because i would love for it to be.

- annnd now you are the one rambling, yes I would like it to be too Lauren. It would be my pleasure.

Then I get two messages from her following each other and I cant help but smile and feel a warth enveloping me.

- oh and for the chill and something, I didnt mean for something that would make you uncomfortable. Don't worry I understand and I can go with a "No promises"

- ooh yes yes thats good, great I can't wait to spend some time with you and enjoy this evening in your company, its gonna be fun :) , have a beautiful night Demi.

- I can't wait either, Kittens ;), sweet dreams.
I sent off the last message, put my phone down, close my eyes and fall asleep with a contendement in my bones I havent feel in a while and that seems to come from the knowledge that maybe just maybe someone is really coming onto me with great intentions. That night I dream of darl locks, brown eyes and the softest looking lips..

I may have made no promises but my heart sings for kisses and soft touches for the first time in month..
