Park Ji-Sang

New York city. It reminds me of Souel. The bustling of the city streets. I sat inside the hotel watching my brother finish up his meeting. I wasn't here for the business but I was here for Carter Memphis. But she was nowhere to be seen. My mother noticed how taken I was with the little American girl and she has decided to help me pursue Carter's affection. She will be mine.

"Why are you here?" My brothers voice came from behind me. I jumped startled by his sudden presents behind me.

"I'm here for the meeting of course." I hated the way he watched me. His facial expressions never changing. Ever since his surgery he has been nothing but cold.  To everyone. You could never tell what he was thinking or how he knew everything.

"You're lying." He stated. "You're not here for me or the company. That means your are her for my wife." It irked my nerves how he knew I was lying, how he knew that everyone was lying when they were.

"You don't need to be nervous namdongsaeng(younger brother). If she loves you I won't take her away." I smirked trying to keep my cool

"Don't call me that. You're not my brother." He said. I felt a slight pain from his indifference towards me. My eyes locked onto a beautiful creature gliding into the hotel. Mrs Carter Memphis. I took a step towards her but Ku Sun-Sin elbowed me out of the way. I gritted my teeth.

"I saw her first remember that." He said as he walked to her.

Carter

Freshly changed with a little make up on to cover the bruise I walked into the hotel.

Ku Sun-Sin met me at the entrance.

"Mrs.Carter you look nice." He smiled at me taking my hand. We began to walk to the table. I pulled away.

"Why are you holding my hand?" I asked.

"Because you're my wife. And everyone needs to know." He stated looking pointedly across the room. I followed his gaze. His brother was here.

"Oh. Why is here?" I asked confused.

"He says to join the business negotiation that ended 20 minutes ago and he was nowhere to be seen." He looked at me closely. He frowned. Turning from me.

I've never seen his face make an expression before

I've never seen his face make an expression before. He raised his hand and pointed at me lip. "What happened to your lip?"

"Ummm. My mother doesn't agree with my choices." I said fighting back tears remember the last few hours. Ku Sun-Sin eyes darkened.

"No one and I mean no one touches what's mine." He growled. "Not even your parents."

"They want to meet you for brunch." I said a d without fail a tear slipped from my eyes. "I stood up for myself like you said and this is the result. She's never hit me before." President Ku cupped my face in his hands. Bending over he touched his forehead to mine. What's his?

"Go to the restroom. Dry your eyes and then go up to your room and get some rest. A hot shower." I nodded but still curious about his business meeting.

"How did the meeting go?" I asked

"Not so well. I don't think they are going to close the deal. The wife is a little hesitant I don't think she likes me very much. I've been working this deal for two months now. Enough of that now go." He gentle pushed me towards the restroom. In the restroom I was glad to be alone. I looked myself in the mirror. Tears fell from my eyes as the whole evening replayed in my head. I have disappointed my family. Will I also be a disappointment to my kids. I place my hand on my belly. The restroom door opened and a Chinese women walked in. I quickly dried my tears splashing water on my face.

"Hi." I smiled at her. She smiled back as she rushed to the sink. A handful of paper towels she attempted to remove the red stain from her white dress. She gave up and looked at me. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes. I spilled red wine on my dress and I'm to have dinner with my husband after an awful business meeting." I looked at her dress and then at mine.

"Would you like to wear mine. I'm going up to my room and we look the same size?"

"Oh no. I couldn't do that. I'll just cancel." She protested

"I insist. I can go right up to my room. Enjoy dinner with your husband."

"But you look like you're having a worse day than I am."

"I am. I had a disagreement with my mom. So help me help you and make my evening better. I insist." She agreed and dress were switched. I headed up to my room to bed while she went to have dinner.
