BASIC INFORMATION
Mèlovin was born on April 11th 1997 in Odessa, Ukraine. His real name is Kostjantyn Mykolajowytsch Botscharow (ukr. Костянтин Миколайович Бочаров) and he is a singer- songwriter.

He won the 6th season of X-Factor Ukraine in 2015. His debut single Ne odinokaya (ukr. Не одинокая) was released in 2016.

He became 3rd, in the national selections for the ESC in Ukraine in 2017 but then won a year after with his new single Under the ladder and got to represent his country Ukraine in Lissabon in May 2018. He's ranked on 17.

CHILDHOOD
When he was 4, his grandma gave him a musicbox with the melody of "To Elise" from Beethoven. That was when he got familiar with music.

SCHOOL LIFE
In 2003, he attended a school in Odessa. He was the only boy in its school choir. He took part in productions, wrote scripts and was really creative.
There were lots of mini concerts in the music classroom, were many students came to, who realised his talent.
Mèlovin still says, that he grew up there.

After that, he attended the school of the Theater "Samotsvity" in 2009. His teacher has taught him a lot. Mèlovin received many prizes from competitions by the city. In the same time, he tried to find his music genre and even tried going to some TV castings but without success.

In 2012, after graduating from the Theater school, he assisted on set of "The longest day". His nickname "Mèlovin" and his team "Big house Mèlovin" were born in 2013. He said that his nickname is based on the word Halloween and the name of the famous designer Alexander McQueen.

In 2015 he joined the Kiew Gliere Institut of Music.

X-FACTOR UKRAINE

In 2015 he also decided to go to X-Factor Ukraine (6th season). His decision was influenced by his grandmother who had always believed in him, supported him and inspired him to try it.

His mentor was Igor Kondratyuk. He sang a duet with Jamala (the winner of ESC 2016) in the finale.

On December 26th 2015, he became the winner of that year.

EUROVISION

He already tried to represent Ukraine in 2017 but got ranked on the 3rd place in the national final.

Then, a year after, he made it to Eurovision. He's placed on place 17 out of 26 (he deserved better) with 11 jury points and 119 audience points.
