There was a knocking at the door that woke Marci. The knocking was loud and persistent, accompanied by the loud voice of someone she recognised. She fumbled to push the covers over her since they were somehow getting stuck. Through her sleepy haze, Marci found out why. Next to her was Erin, she was still sleeping peacefully, her mouth open slightly as she breathed heavily. Erin's hair was almost like a puddle spreading across the pillows. Although her hair was short, it seemed like it was never ending as Marci pushed it away from her.
Marci was still fighting off the sleep from her eyes, rubbing the furiously when she heard the knock again. It wasn't just her imagination. She grumbled as she climbed out of her bed, the sound of it creaking under her weight seemed louder than the knocking. She stumbles a little over to the door, half of her stuff spilled across the floor. She should really clean up at some point. It wasn't very high on her list of things to do.
She fiddled with the lock before opening the door. She peered up at the tall figure, spotting the blue hair before the facial features. Terrance. He was standing there in all his glory, his white tee tucked into his fairly skinny jeans. He seemed to have a scowl on his face as he barged in past Marci.
"Yes Terrance, just come in," Marci mumbled. She shut the door behind Terrance as he made a beeline for the bed. Marci didn't even have to look to know what was happening, the squeal which followed was enough proof. "Make yourself at home by all means."
Marci wasn't a morning person, she doubted she would ever be a morning person, it just wasn't in her nature. Although she had to get up early some days for university and lectures she preferred to stay in bed and sleep.
"Get up Erin! Just because it's a Saturday doesn't mean you can sleep all day!" Terrance half yelled as he physically dragged Erin out of the bed. Erin squealed as she hit the ground, her eyes shooting open. "It's already gone midday, we have things to be doing ladies, trips to plan, possible candidates."
Marci had busied herself with getting a cup of tea, half listening to what Terrance was saying, but he had piqued her interest. Candidates? What did he mean? "Terrance what do you mean candidates? You know this isn't a porno, we discussed this yesterday! I am not doing any sexual activities to anyone or getting them from anyone."
Erin had finally got to her feet, sending glares at Terrance who just shrugged in response to her. Marci glanced at Erin who gave her a small smile. Last night was still fresh in her mind. Erin's little PowerPoint was her way of accepting this. Erin was on board and although it took less time than Marci thought it might, she was glad she wouldn't have to go through all the explanations that she had been creating in her head.
"Not porn stars," Terrance replied, sitting on the bed, not before making it quickly. "I meant candidates for your director of sorts, I thought about the whole conversation yesterday and when you said about your lack of knowledge in technology I instantly thought of it. Why not just hire someone, get someone with camera skills to just come along?"
The kettle suddenly started whistling making Marci flinch slightly. She grabbed the two cups she'd already set up and poured the hot water in. She placed the kettle back and grabbed the milk from the small fridge and added a drop in to the cups. With that Erin came and grabbed one of the cups, wrapping her hands round it.
"I mean, he is right Marci," Erin finally commented. "Think about it, you couldn't do the filming, you are absolutely useless, getting someone else may be the best option. You could get some cool shots too, with you actually in the shot."
Marci hummed in agreement, they had a fair point. But it kind of destroyed the point of her wanting to go by herself. She'd have to actually talk to this person. Although she had no problem talking to Terrance and Erin, talking to new people was a problem. She could've gone on the trip with Terrance and Erin, that would be okay, Marci would most likely enjoy it, but with a stranger she didn't know? That was asking a lot.
