Stevie was happy, happy until a boy named Carter moved next door. She practically lived outdoors in the summer, until he moved in last week. He was in his backyard playing catch with his brother Chase, and then Chase decided watching tv was more important, so of course he asks Stevie (who is spying on him through the bushes) over to join him. And that is what started this mess. The mess in which they are at a party with hyped up kids yelling 'kiss' at them. And it never would have happened if he hadn't lost his baseball in the bushes where Stevie had been standing.
