Naomi's POV

I kept a tight grip on Shawn's hand as we walked through the crowd of fans who had gathered in the hotel lobby.

We made it into the elevator safely.

The movie was still playing but Shawn and I decided to leave because we were tired.

I was in a daze after the kiss, realizing I like Shawn and all.

"So." Shawn broke the silence.

He probably wanted to talk about the kiss and us.

"Can we wait til' tomorrow, Shawn? I'm really tired." I yawned.

He smiled. "Sure."

"Good." I returned the gesture.

The elevator doors opened and we stepped out, making our way to the rooms.

"I had a lot of fun, Naomi." he said as we stopped in front of my door.

"I did too." I nodded, a small smile on my face.

We stared at each other for a while.

"Can I kiss you?" he whispered, leaning in unsurely.

"You don't need to ask." I said in a hushed tone before placing my lips on his.

The kiss was short and sweet, yet perfect.

"Sleep well, i'll see you in the morning." he mumbled against my lips and pecked me again.

"You too." I grinned as he walked away.

Butterflies exploded in my stomach.

I opened the door to the hotel room.

"Hey! I thought the movie ended at 9?" Cameron asked looking at his watch.

"We came back early." I put my bag down and noticed all the boys were here. "What are you all doing here?"

I scanned the room, my eyes met Matt. Before either of us could react, I turned away.

It's funny how someone can change their personality so quick. Yesterday, Matt was the boyfriend I always dreamed of having. Today, he was being a complete douche.

"Just talking." Nash smiled. "How was the movie."

I couldn't help the smile that came onto my face. "Great."

"Why are you smiling so big?" Gilinsky asked raising his eyebrows at me.

"Oh, I am?" I tried to play it off.

I grabbed a Gatorade from our fridge and took a seat next to Hayes on the couch.

"Yeah..." Hayes trailed off examining my face. "Did something happen with you and Shawn?"

I played with the cap of my Gatorade, chewing on my bottom lip nervously.

"Well-" I began but Matt cut me off.

"Did he kiss you?" he asked his voice trembling. I looked up to see his eyes watering.

I turned to look at everyone's faces which were all looking at me expectantly.

"Yeah." I spoke quietly.

Everyone was speechless.

"Why." he asked, a tear slipping onto his cheek.

"Well first things first, why do you care?" I questioned him. "You've been nothing but angry all day, for nothing! I don't know what I did to you Matt!"

"Can I speak with you, alone?" He stood up.

I rolled my eyes but stood up, following him out the door.

"I like you Naomi, and do you know how much it hurts to see you flirting with all of them?!" He practically shouted at me.

Flirting? These boys are nothing more than my friends! I recalled what Mahogany said about 'make them think I like them'.

"Matt, their all nothing more than my friends. I can't help being myself. I'm sorry if it looks like I'm flirting but...I'm not." I waited for him to respond.

"Your right, I'm sorry for being such an asshole all day." he ran his fingers through his quiff.

I put on a small smile. "It's okay I guess."

He then frowned. "But, you still kissed Shawn."

"Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that."

"I can't wait to hear this." he sighed crossing his arms over his chest.

"What are you talking about, Matt? You know I actually liked you, so I wasn't going to call this 'a date with Shawn' just 'friends hanging out'. But I was just getting tired of how you've been acting, so I let him kiss me and I kissed back." I finished.

Matts faced saddened and I immediately felt bad for what I had said. He did just say sorry to me, I just should've told him what had happened.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"

"No, just stop, Naomi. It's clear that you've chosen who you want to be with and who am I to stop you?" he shook his head to the side, like he didn't believe this was happening.

I couldn't say anything. What could I have said?

He began walking back to his own hotel room.

"Matt." I called to him.

He turned around, his eyes already red and puffy.

"I will find a way for us to become friends again. When you were my friend I felt complete. You were my best friend. I promise, it can be like that again." I said, my eyes watering as well.

"So, are you saying you didn't feel anything when we were...kind've dating?" he asked.

I gulped and turned to him. I didn't. Not that initial spark like I had with Shawn. I just looked at Matt, hoping he could see.

He nodded slowly, understanding.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I waved.

"I love you." he said.

I laughed through the tears spilling onto my face. "I love you too, Matt."

He smiled before walking into his room.

I was satisfied with the way I left things with Matt that night. Although I was sad we'd be nothing more than friends, I was glad to start things up with Shawn.

When Matt said he loved me, I knew he meant as a friend. No, scratch that, a best friend.

And I felt the exact same way.
