Matt's POV
I wanted her lips against mine forever. When she kissed me, it felt like a million tiny fireworks going off. No girl had ever made me this crazy.
Naomi was beautiful, funny, talented, sexy, and just...perfect.
I pulled away after the rather short kiss and smiled down at her. Naomi had a grin on her face as well.
I grabbed her hand. "Lets get back to the hotel." I smiled and she nodded.
My phone began to ring as we stepped into the can I'd called.
I looked to the I.D. to see Nash's face pop up on the screen.
"Hey bro, whats up?" I asked.
"You need to come to the hotel...now." Nash's voice spoke sounding urgent.
"Why-"
"Matt, you and Naomi need to come to the hotel." he cut me off before hanging up.
I stared at Naomi with a blank expression on my face, still holding the phone to my ear. The annoying beep made me end the call.
"Everything alright?" she tilted her head towards the side. I gulped making her widen her eyes.
"Where too?" the driver asked.
"The Hilton Hotel on Elm Drive in Orlando." I buckled my seat belt. "And be fast."
-
I paid the taxi driver as Naomi jumped out of the cab.
"What's going on?!" she panicked.
I rubbed her back as we made our way into the hotel. "I don't know but it'll be okay." I assured.
We rode the elevator up to our floor. I grabbed Naomi's hand and we exited onto our floor.
I knocked on Naomi's hotel room door. "It's Matt and Naomi!" I called.
Mahogany answered the door with a worried expression on her face.
"Oh, come in." she said as we entered.
"What happened?" Naomi asked.
She sighed. "It's Aaron. Well, his arm. It's getting worse, infected."
"Well, is he okay?"I asked, my heart racing.
"They all took him to the hospital."
Naomi gasped. "This is all my fault." she spoke in a hushed tone.
"Why on earth would it be your fault?" I asked her. "It's not."
"Coming to MagCon was like an open invitation for Brandon to come find me. Aaron, he protected me and he never would have gotten hurt if it weren't for me coming here." she told Mahogany and I while tears built up in her eyes.
I pulled her into a hug. "It's all going to be alright, don't blame this all on yourself."
-
Around 30 minutes later, Mahogany, Naomi and I entered the hospital lobby.
"How can I help you?" an older woman appeared from behind the counter.
"What room is Aaron Carpenter in?" Naomi asked.
"One moment." she began typing into her computer.
Naomi turned to me. "What if he's not okay?" she bit her lip.
I sighed. "I think he'll be fine, there's no way Brandon could've hit him hard enough to stop blood flow or anything."
"It's possible alright." Mahogany jumped in.
"W-what?" Naomi eyes widened at Mahogany.
Before she could reply, the receptionist gave us Aaron's room number, 521.
We hastily made our way down the corridors of the hospital.
"What were you saying before?" Naomi referred to Mahogany's theory.
"I had a cousin once who got hit in the leg by a guy. It cut off his blood flood. It can happen to anyone." she informed.
Naomi shook her head. "Maybe that won't be the case for Aaron." she stopped in front of a door with the numbers, 5-2-1 printed in bold black.
"Ready?" I asked her.
She looked at me, uneasy at first, then nodded, opening the door.
Naomi's POV
"Hey." Nash whispered as I stared blankly at the boy on the hospital bed.
I didn't answer. I just looked at Aaron, thinking about how it truly was all my fault. Aaron would've never gotten hurt if it weren't for me.
"You okay?" Jack Gilinsky asked. I shook my head slowly. The rest of the boys were sitting there too. Jack Johnson, Cameron, Hayes, Carter, Taylor, Shawn, and Bart as well.
I swallowed, my throat suddenly feeling dry. I moved closer to the bed.
"Aaron." I spoke in a small voice.
His eyes fluttered open, he had probably just taken a nap. His face showed no emotion as he glanced at me.
"Hey." he replied looking away. No Sweetheart?
"Nash, what are his uh, circumstances?" I asked.
"We were sitting in my hotel room and he started to turn pale. Like, really white. We took him to the hospital and the doctors said he should sleep. They think it's his blood flow, from his arm." he explained. "He's going to need a lot of rest, Naomi.
I grabbed Aaron's finger as tears welled up in my eyes. My stomach churned as I looked at him.
"I'm so, so sorry." I shook my head in disbelief. The tears began pouring out of my eyes.
"Don't cry, please." he mumbled, tiredly wiping the tears from my eyes.
I sniffled. "Get some rest."
He nodded a little before leaning his head back on the pillow and closing his barely open eyes.
I bit my lip to fight back tears. Lyrics to the song I had sang earlier today raced through my mind. I spoke them to him, quietly, before getting up and leaving.
'But darling, stay with me.'
