The Red man returns

Chapter 4

A week has past since my darling children have been born and already they are begining to grow. I assumed that since the pregnancy was so long that it would take years for Alexander and Elizabeth to grow, but they are growing up fast. They were just a week old but they appeared to look as if they were a  2 months old.They were begining to grab things and trying to roll over. It makes me sad and joyful watching them grow.

"Alucard will you hand me Elizabeth's pacifir?" right now we were getting the twins ready to go outside for the first time. We decided it would be good for them and me to get some fresh air. I know their is possible danger and doom all that yadda yadda but we won't go far, just to the gardens. I lifted Elizabeth onto my shoulder and picked up the diaper bag, you never know when you will need something. Alucard has become better at caring for his children's needs but was still new to it. Hell we were both new to this, but it has become easier so far. Alucard carried Alexander and we headed up the stairs.

The evening air was perfect tonight, their was a light breeze to help cool the summer heat. The moon is full and there isn't a single cloud to block the view. The gardens were in full bloom and absolutely stunning. Aluxard laid out a blanket onto the dew covered grass and we laid the twins on top. They were smiling and letting out small giggles.

" They seem to be enjoying it." I smiled and sat myself on the blanket next to them. Alucard sat behind me and wrapped his arms around me. I leaned back into his hold and closed my eyes. This is nice...This is how I hope it will always be.

"I love you." he whispered in my ear.

" I love me too." I said trying not to laugh. Alucard pushed me to the ground and pinned me there with his body.

" That wasn't nice love, now say that you love me."

"I love me." I'm such a smart ass sometimes.  He tisked at me before grabbing my sides and began to tickle me. I squirm and twist trying to get away from the torment. All the time laughing.  Alucard wouldnt stop! Why why does he have to do this to me!!!

"Alright alright! Stop I give! I love you too Alucard!" He stopped rickling but kept his hands where they were.

"Prove it to me." he smirked.

" Only if you remove your hands and don't tickle me again."

" Now where's the fun in that?" are you kidding he just stole one of my lines!!

"copycat.." but I leaned up anyways using my arms for suppost and kissed him softly. Not like the ones last night when we...Never mind!  He kissed me back then pulled away He laid down his head in my lap and acted like he was going to sleep. I ran my fingers through his dark hair, just messing with it. I glaced over at the twins who were  trying to roll over onto their stomachs.  It was quite funny to watch actually. After awhile they seemed to wear themselves out and started to yawn.

"Alright I think its time to go back in." Alucard said hearing their tiny yawns. He sat up off my lap and grabbed the twins while I put the things away. He handed me Alexander afterwards and we made our way back to the manor.

We stopped by Integra's room to say hello, but when we got there something felt..off. It was quiet. We exchanged a look before i sat the bag down and Alucard handed me Elizabeth then drew his guns.He pushed open the door and pointed his guns in the room. I could feel him tense up. I peered around the door way to see Integra laying in the bed. Not moving a single muscle. She appeared to be sleeping but I knew better. Her heart had stilled, Integra has finally left us. Tears builded up in my eyes and flowed out of the corners. No...Integra...

As if they could sense it too, Alexander and Elizabeth started to cry. I rocked them in my arms trying to calm both them and myself down.

"Dale...Go back to the room...I'll be down there shortly." My heart broke at the sadness in his voice.  I wanted to stay there with him and comfort him.

" Now!" he yelled at me he hardly ever yells at me. I nodded my head and teleported to the nursery.  I managed to calm the babies down and put them in their cribs to fall asleep. I went to our room and waited for Alucard.

It felt like hours before Alucard returned to the room with blood stained cheeks. He has been crying.I run to him and pull him into a hug. I know he is hurting, he knew Integra for almost her whole life. We sank to the floor both with tears running down our faces. His hands gripped hard on my back making me wince slightly. I wrapped my arms around his head and stroked his hair. Neither of us said anything we just sat there on the could floor wrapped in each others embrace.
