Chapter 5

I woke up to my mom walking into my room. I was so out of it that I had to check the clock thinking it was night by now when I seen it was 5:00am. I jumped out of bed and started getting ready Mom just chuckled and shut my door. I can't believe I slept that long.. I can you sleep like the dead. But you needed it. Very funny Raine. But yes I needed it. I walked into the bathroom and took a cold shower when I got out I dried off and went into my closet to find something to wear. I decided on a dark pair of ripped skinny jeans and a white crop top with a wild on the front. I then grabbed my tan boots, I decided to change my belly button ring into a red one that dangled. I didn't need much for make up because I naturally had thick long eyelashes. So I put some eyeliner on, a little mascara and some bronzer. Then I grabbed the rest of my bags and went downstairs. My parents and gabe were sitting in the kitchen. I could hear them from my room and I could smell him before I even went down. We ate breakfast and Mom handed me some cash and directions on how to get there since I was driving. I hugged my parents and they both told me how much they loved me and would miss me. They made me promise to call every night. Gabe put the rest of our stuff in the back of my hummer. We then gassed up and headed to our destination. I was starting to feel the nerves setting in. But I wasn't going to let it show. I normally didn't show much emotion. Just who I was I guess. I just kept telling myself that I'm bad ass and need to be strong. It was a 3 hour drive to get there and I wasn't looking forward to it. Raine was making me even more irritated with all the pacing back and forth she was doing. She wanted to be let out and I was having a hard time containing her. When I looked over at gabe he was singing his heart out to some Taylor swift song. I think it was called shake it off. I don't know because I am not a fan of that type of music. And I'm definitely not a fan of him singing. It's like someone's scratching there nails on a chalk board. We stopped to grab some food as we were only about an hour away. Then we were back on the road the rest of the trip there were no house just forest. We then came across the campus from the distance. 15 minutes later we pulled up out front of the main building. I took a couple deep breaths and jumped out. Along with gabe. Raine decided to pop back in. We walked in and went to the main office to get our schedules. Everyone was staring at us. Probably thinking that gabe and I were a couple. Yeah right!!! I ignored her and waited for the lady to get back with our papers. Gabe whispered to me. "Why did you have to wear that outfit? You know it's going to drive all the guys crazy, he'll it's driving me crazy." I just glared daggers at his head. We walked out of the office with our papers. We had 3 out of the 5 classes together I had battle strategy, then gym, history then lunch. Then I had a free period and last communications. He has battle strategy, gym then a free period then lunch. After lunch he had history and communications. So it wasn't that bad. Our dorms go by our families. Which means the strongest get the best of the best then goes down the list. As we headed to our classes we parted ways because I had history and gabe was lucky he had a free period. I accidentally just walked in and the door slammed behind me . Everyone's eyes were on me. Some glaring, some looked envious and then there were the guys. Shit eating smirks on there faces. I had to tell everyone what my name was. Then Ms. Tanner told me to take a seat. I could hear what my class mates were saying but I just tuned them out. A really good looking guy that was sitting next to me leaned over closer to me and said "Hey beautiful, what's your number?" I just glared at him "Excuse me?" "Sorry I get a little ahead of myself, my name is Meeko." I looked up at him to get a better look and seen his eyes were a blue ish black. He didn't smell like a human. That's because he's not Amelia. No one at this academy is a human. Well shit.. "My name is Amelia." I then returned to listening to my teacher. When the bell rang I got up and left the classroom to find gabe. There was a scent that made my mouth water it made all my hormones do funny things. Raine wanted me to follow the scent but I just wanted to keep going. After fighting her on it we continued to the lunch haul when I heard "Hey babes." I turned around to see gabe running up to me and pulled me into his chest for a hug. I couldn't help but giggle at him.
