Colby's pov

A week had passed. And then another, and another and another. Suddenly 4 months had gone by without Colby seeing or talking to Brennen.
Brennen had tried texting and calling him for the first 2 weeks, but slowly the texts and the calls became fewer and fewer. Until they completely stopped.
Even the fans had noticed, 85% of the comments now were about what had happened to Brolby, and they had even gotten #BringBrolbyBack trending on Twitter.
But Colby couldn't answer, he could definitely not tell the truth.
Colby was both relieved and upset about Brennen's radio silence which just made him even more confused about the whole situation. He obviously knew that he liked guys, but he didn't want to live that life. His dad had tried for years to beat it out of him, but clearly that hadn't worked. So Colby had now decided to just ignore all of those feelings until he became straight.
He had even signed up for Tinder, where he had met a girl named Bailey, they had gone on a couple of dates and they clicked from the start.
But was it love?
He didn't want to think about it, but he didn't feel the butterflies and the nervousness with Bailey as he had felt with Brennen. But he was just gonna have to suck it up, he was not accepting being gay.

This evening he was taking Bailey to the movies and then to dinner, he didn't really feel like it but those kind of things are what normal people do, and he needed to be normal.

Colby and Bailey had just sat down in the movie theater which was almost completely empty except for a few people. They were feeding each other popcorn and laughing when Colby felt someone tapping him on the shoulder.
He turned around and felt his stomach drop.

"Hey, Colby! It's been a while, man." Brennen smiled.

Colby sat silent for a few seconds before he felt Bailey hitting his arm.

"Colby! Don't be rude." Bailey laughed as she got up to introduce herself.

"Um, yeah, sorry. Hey, bro." Colby cringed as soon as he heard bro leave his mouth.

Brennen stood there, staring into Colby's eyes while giving him that sweet smile he used to give him before. Something about that smile, those eyes, that voice felt so calming. It felt like home.
Colby could feel his chest getting tighter as everything came rushing back into his mind. Every hug, every laugh, every bad joke, every kiss..

"Hey, why don't you sit with us?" Bailey's excited voice woke Colby from his train of thoughts.

This cannot be happening. Colby's chest tightened even more.

"Well.." Brennen looked at his friend and then to Colby for permission.

"Um, yeah. I mean, sure, of course." Colby's couldn't exactly say no now.

Brennen looked at him softly as he sat down next to Colby, with his friend on his other side.

Brennen was so close to him that he could smell the familiar scent of Axe that he always wore.
Colby used to love to snuggle into Brennen's neck and just lay there without a care in the world, and that scent brought him back to those moments.
He didn't want to admit it, but he missed it. He missed Brennen.

So much had happened in just a few minutes that Colby was starting to feel overwhelmed, but the lights soon turned off and it was too late to leave.

Bailey really wanted to see this new movie, that of course had to be a rom-com, and now Colby was sat with his new girlfriend on the left and his old boyfriend on the right. It felt so wrong to think of Brennen as a boyfriend, but at the same time it felt right. Very right.

The movie soon evolved to a romantic scene with the main characters and Colby felt so awkward.
He had been playing with his hands in his lap up until this point, not knowing where to put them.
Suddenly he felt something grazing his knee and his eyes wandered down; he could see the silhouette of Brennen's knee softly touching his. Colby closed his eyes and held his breath, what was happening?
Just a few seconds after, he could feel Brennen gently touching his hand with his soft fingers and Colby let his breath out in shock. He instantly turned his head to see if Bailey had noticed, but she was completely in the movie.
What was he supposed to do? What did he want to do?

Colby turned his eyes to the movie and tried to focus on it, but soon enough he could feel his own fingers starting to join Brennen's. There they were, in the dark, subtly stroking each other's hands.
Colby's heart was beating like never before and he could feel the intense heat coming from his cheeks blushing.
All of a sudden Brennen pulled his hand back, whispered something to his friend, and got up from the seat. Colby followed him with his eyes as he slowly walked out of the salon.
He quickly turned to Bailey and told her that he was going to the bathroom, stood up and walked in Brennen's footsteps. He didn't know why, it was like he wasn't the one controlling his actions right now.

When he got out into the lobby he saw the bathroom door, walked up to it and slowly pushed the door open. All of the stall doors were open, except for one.
He knocked on it softly, praying to God that it wasn't an old, creepy man in there.
The door squeaked as it opened, and he saw those beautiful green eyes looking back into his.

Brennen instantly grabbed Colby's shirt and pulled him to his lips, pressing them together hard. He could feel Brennen's hands wandering all over his body, up his back, down his collarbone and over his stomach.
In return, Colby put his hands on either side of Brennen's face and continued to slide them up to his perfect hair, grabbing it while he gently bit Brennen's lip. As the intense make out progressed, he could feel Brennen's tongue sliding into his mouth, starting a passionate dance with his own tongue, and everything felt so right.

After a few minutes, Brennen slowed down before breaking the kiss completely. He buried his face in Colby's neck, kissing it softly before putting his mouth closer to Colby's ear.

"I have really missed you, Colby Brock. I've missed you so bad." Brennen whispered.

Colby could feel the warmth from Brennen's breath on his neck as he whispered, and it instantly gave him goosebumps all over his body.
He hadn't experienced any of these feelings with Bailey, at least not so far, and that scared him.

He didn't know what was going to happen after these minutes, but one thing was for sure.

"I have missed you too, Brennen."

I really hope you like this one 💜
