I stumbled down the street, rushing to get to work, as I had woken late from my previous nightly outing. My mind was foggy from lack of sleep, but then, a single sound I heard, I could distinguish anywhere! It was what any reasonable person would describe as a loud "woosh" and with this, a flash of tardis blue. I stood stunned for a moment, focussing in on an old police box in the middle of the sidewalk, deep in the busy New York City crowd. Yet no one payed the blue box any attention, even though it had only appeared out of thin air seconds before.
"Look out!" The frantic beeping of a taxi and the warning of a mystery man awoke me from my trance. I turned to see, indeed a car approaching, and put my hands above my head for some manner of protection against it's impact. But as it rushed toward me, an unknown force thrust me aside and back onto the safety of the sidewalk. I fell hard upon the cement ground, hitting my head. I felt a dizziness wash over me, and a swirling blackness consume my vision.
