I opened my eyes quite suddenly. I remembered everything. I had fallen from my Doctor's hands, fallen to the ground. And the pain! Oh, too much pain! Where was I now?

"Doctor." I choked. My throat was dry. For the moment, I could barely make a sound. "Doctor. Where are you?"

"YOU KNOW THE DOCTOR?" An angry voice demanded of me. I tried to sit up and get a better look at whatever foe was approaching, but I was held in place by restraints on a reclined metal seat.

"YOU WILL ANSWER. CONFIRM! CONFIRM! YOU KNOW THE DOCTOR!"

"Yes." I groaned in reply, adjusting and hissing as the pain from my recent fall returned to me. There was a slight glimmer against the shine of metal, piercing through the shadows before me.

"LOCATION! LOCATION! TELL US WHERE THE DOCTOR IS LOCATED! OR YOU WILL BE EXTERMINATED!"

"I don't know where he is!" I whined. "What are you? What do you want with me?"

"WE ARE THE DALEKS."

"Ah yes! The Daleks!" A familiar voice interrupted. A handsome figure with a blue suit and a red tie emerged from the darkest corner. The Dalek swiveled around in panic. "Originally from the planet of Skaro, am I right? Yes, of course I'm right! I'm always right! I'm The Doctor! But the only question that is left bouncing around in my mind-" The Doctor strolled up to my captor, staring straight into its eye piece. "Is why you are here," He hissed, beginning to resume his conversation with the unloving piece of machinery, and the grotesque monster nestled inside. "Killing thousands of innocent creatures!" The Doctor's fury was climbing quickly, until soon he was just about screaming. "All for what!" There was silence. I had never seen nor hearD of The Doctor becoming so tempestuous. I was fearfuL, of my Doctor. The Dalek just sat there, unmoving except for small adjustments made to the eye piece.

"YOU WOULD MAKE A GOOD DALEK." It stated so boldly. An anger burned in The Doctor's eyes.

"I am not like you." He whipped himself around , returning to face the white tinted assasin with his sonic screwdriver, aimed and buzzing. There was a series of miniature explosions, and the sizzling of the wiring below the Dalek's suit of dalekanium. The monster tried to shoot, but nothing could be done.

"Not so ferocious anymore are ya? Frying of the motherboard! Might want to get that looked at!" He rushed over to me, quickly releasing me from my bonds. The Dalek behind him moved its arms and eye piece frantically, unable to hover, unable to escape.

"INTRUDERS! INTRUDERS! STOP THE DOCTOR!"

"I was starting to think you wern't coming for me!" I grinned.

"Oh Violet Taylor." He laughed. "Have a little faith in me! Now, lets get out of here!"

"I can't walk." I responded pathetically. The Doctor grinned widely.

"Looks like I'll have to carry you!" He lifted me in his arms and took off running. The Dalek continued to sream behind us. Me and my Doctor, we ran.

"How did you find me?" I asked, The Doctor turning a corner. He slid to a stop, gasping loudly. Daleks blocked our path.

"Not this way!" He changed direction and flew down the hallway in the opposite direction. The Daleks only followed.

"Doctor!" I repeated. "How did you find me?"

"Isn't there a better time and place for these types of questions? Just shush fora moment! I need to think! Think! Think! Think! Think! Think! Gah!"

"What's wrong?"

"Umm.. I seem to have misplaced our way out." Anxiety began to build in my chest.

"Lost! How can we be lost! You found your way in here!"

"It's not like I was paying attention!" The Doctor shot back. "Who says I ever pay attention?" I rolled my eyes.

"Aliens." I growled with much distaste.

"Humans." He replied forcefully.

"EXTERMINATE!" An eruption of blue lazers shot out from behind us. The Doctor ran, past dozens and dozens of branching hallways that led to dead ends. Until finally, with the Daleks close behind, we came upon a hallway flooded in daylight.

"Turn left! I mean right! Turn right!" I demanded. The Doctor swerved in one direction, then back the other way and through the entrance and exit. He stopped and turned abruptly just outside the opening, dropping me from his arms and fumbling with his sonic. He finally found his bearings and shot its odd pulsing in the direction of the open doors. Just as the Daleks were about to exit, a metal slab sealed it shut. Silence fell.

"That should keep them occupied for a while." He reassured. The Doctor turned to me. "Are you alright?" I groaned.

"Was that really neccessary?" He shrugged in reply. I only signed, attempting to get up and stand beside him. I got about halfway up before my legs gave way, and the pain of my injuries shot up and down my spine. I fell forward, a pair of arms catching me before I could hit the ground. I looked up at The Doctor awkwardly, sielently appologizing for faling on him, and also appologizing for what I had said earlier.

"I didn't mean what I said before." He helped me stand up straight. "I was just so scared." I admitted. The Doctor nodded in agreement.

"Me too. I was just afraid they would harm you. I had to get you out unscathed." I smiled, slowly popping up on my toes. I removed my helmet for a moment or two and kissed him softly on the top of his own, as if a mother to her only child.

"Thank you for rescuing me Doctor." The minor twinge of a smile appeared on his face, as we stood in silence in each other's company.

"Alright then!" The Doctor suddenly exclaimed, clapping his hands together with much excitement. "So! Daleks! What do we know? Creatures of Skaro! Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds- 5,967 to be exact- and hundreds of miles away! So why did they leave? And why did they come here of all places. What is the connection?" He hit the sides of his head frantically, as if trying to knock some sense into himself. "Gah! They came here for a reason! What is here?" He turned back to me, as he had twirled away moments before with much distress. "Where are we? What planet are we on? What planet did I say we landed on?"

"Umm.."

"Mondas! Mondas! Of course its Mondas! They want this planet! And why do they want this planet Violet?"

"Umm.. Power?"

"Yes! 175.987% correct! Why here? Why do they want it here?"

"Umm.. Because?"

"Because! A good answer! A beautiful answer! Because this is the birthplace of the Cybermen!" The Doctor expained. "This is a war, Violet; a war raging between the most agressive races in the universe! And the other planets, forever peaceful, are caught in the crossfire. The largest and most hostile species in the universe are hunting for power and dominating other worlds until they control all. A universal take over. But those under attack will not bend so easily. This is the Dalek's attempt to overthrow the Cybermen.

"Where are these Cybermen then?" I inquired.

"That's just it, isn't it? There must be some left. They must be somewhere! They must be-"

"THE DALEK RACE WILL BE DELETED."
