My mother had always wanted me to have a good job I hope today I can get it. In The Institution of Curing and Robotics is where I hope to get a job as either a gatherer or technician if i'm lucky. I hop in to my blue 69 Cadalac i got from my uncle and start the spluttering engine. The Institution is about an hours drive away seemingly in the middle of nowhere. I pull up to the shining grey building. It has three huge domes surrounded by different buildings. I flick the engine off and step out onto the smooth pavement newly done I amuse. The clicking of my shoes is all I hear. I open the double glass doors into the clean entry way. It smells of a vets office; sterile and clean. As i greet the secretary, a small latino lady who's name tag read Dolly. She pointed to a glass elevator built for one person. "Just go up to the top floor for your interview, hun", dolly said cheerily. I nodded my thanks and climbed into the little elevator pressing the top floor, 60. Once the doors closed I sighed noisily knowing that this would take a long time to get up. After a few minutes of waiting the door swished open to a large corner office. A dark skinned male sat in a leather chair he spoke softly with a light moroccan accent. "You are here for a job correct?", he asked. "Yes sir", I said quietly intimidated by his presence. His keen blue eyes seemed to catch my hesitation, "sit and relax, miss?" "Klune, Laura Klune". "Yes that's right", he nodded looking down at his notes. "You have a pretty good trac record...4.0...a masters in robotics...you only wanted to be a tracker?". "A technician if i'm lucky", i said a bit comically. I started tearing myself down on the inside {that isn't a joke} {he probably thinks i'm a dork} he cut off my thinking" you get both jobs". I stared at him in amazement," A tracker for summer and winter and a technician for spring and Autumn". "I spluttered thinking of thanking him" "Go home and get your rest come in tomorrow at 8:00 sharp".
