Name: Marus
Racial Appearance: White
Genus Appearance: Humanoid Hybrid
Age: Appears to be Twenty-Four
Physical Appearance: Standing a bit taller than his younger sister Serrah, Marus is Five feet Nine inches, not overly tall but not exactly short, either. He has an above average build, having gained a large amount of muscle through training himself to both be stronger, and protect Serrah. He has what many would call a 'Perfect Body', although he has yet to find anyone he actually agree's with.
His hair is short and black, spiking upwards easily without having to worry about styling it to do so. His eyes like Embers, glowing in the night. Usually a deep orange, stories have said that they can go to other colors as well, like Red, Black and White. However those stories are few and far between, comming off more as Gossip than truth.
Covering Marus' build is a simple black Tanktop, allowing his muscle to be seen clearly, as well as giving him free movement should he need it. Decorated across each of his arms, from the Shoulder to the Wrist is a Golden Mark, perfectly symmetrical and shimmering every now and again. Unlike Serrah, Marus has come to like showing off these, and has used them to inspire Fear more than a few times.
As pants Marus usually wears something somewhat baggy, ranging from loos black Jeans to Cargo Pants with various amounts of pockets. Sometimes it depends on his mood, other times he simply prefers one over the other. Regardless of the pants, Marus always wears a pair of Black shoes. The shoes fit somewhere within the 'Sports', 'Casual' and 'Work' category, although nobody truly knows what they are nor where Marus found such a unique pair of shoes.
Much like Serrah, Marus doesn't seem to carry any weapons, although many stories tell of Marus using a pair of Revolver-type Pistols, possibly upgrades from his childhood. Other stories tell of him using brute strength to tear apart monsters, ripping them literally in half. Nobody quite knows what's true, but not many have tried to mess with Marus or Serrah, either.
Background: At a young age, Marus was born into a chaotic world filled with Greed, War, Lust and Deceit. With his father being a Drunk, he looked forward to and savored every moment that he could get out of his house. Through this, he learned various tricks of the trade including but not necessarily limited to; Weaponsmithing, Lockpicking, and Sneaking. Upon his return home each night, Marus’ dad beat him, leaving various bruises of different sized each night. This did not break Marus’ spirit, however. If you were to ask a person, they would say that it even strengthened him, making him a better Man. At the age of Seven, his mother had another child, a daughter named Serrah. Marus’ swiftly became a big brother to her, watching over her and helping her grow.
By the time Marus had reached the age of Ten, and Serrah Three, the two had gone on various adventures. The twin’s father no longer beat Marus’ finding little pleasure in it after so many years. Now he had turned his anger upon Serrah, beating her to the point of unconsciousness more than a few times. This enraged Marus, and by the time Serrah had turned Five, she had bruises that didn’t seem to go away. Marus would sit in his room for hours, listening Serrah, waiting to console her when the beating ended. One night, however, something was off. Their Father seemed to be drunk earlier than usual, and perhaps more drunk than before. When he went to beat Serrah that night, he had a small Dirk, slightly rusted. At the sight of this Serrah gasped, calling out Marus’ name. Without thinking, Marus brought out A custom made Pistol, aiming it at his father and shooting him in the skull, killing him instantly and saving Serrah.
Without thinking, the two ran from their house, into the forest on the western-most side of the city. After evading multiple patrol groups, the pair finally found rest in a shelter deep within the forest. As fate would have it, it happened to be a pair of dragon’s Nest, and when they returned, they were puzzled to see two Human’s in their nest. At the sound of the rustling and heavy padding of the creatures, both Marus and Serrah woke to see these creatures staring down at them. Out of instinct, the two dragons ran, each a seprate way, Marus chased the one to the right, what looked to be a Fire Dragon, Serrah the Left, an Ice Dragon. After the pair had caught each dragon, the Soul’s combined, not out of Magick or Torture, but out of Protection. Coincidently, both Marus and Serrah had misjudged the Dragon Marks, causing Fire on Fire and Ice on Ice to produce Golden Draconic markings.
After this discovery, the two finally left the forest after roughly a year. Upon recognition, the people had come to pronounce the two as the Hurrichin, the Saviours of their people. However, neither Marus nor Serrah understood this completely, nor liked the idea. Shortly after their reappearance, they vanished. Leaving their people to be consumed in War, they people eventually fell into Anarchy, and remain there to this day. Marus and Serrah traveled the worlds, eventually finding a Technologically advanced civilization which allowed them to traverse worlds with ease. The pair have yet to return to their home.
