Rexter is now sitting beside his sleeping daughter with a face that cannot be named probably because I destroyed his family jewel so it is a good thing he adopted Zia.
"hey, why do you have to be that mean?"
"why do you have to be perverted?" I snap at him
"well, I was just joking don't act like it is a crime to kiss a lady"
"but you don't have the rights either" I was memorizing my reasons why I should not kick his balls again
"haha, you look cute, have you ever been kissed before?" okay, there I admit I flushed real hard
That made him stunned 'because he probably realized my answer to that dumb question.
"you serious?!"
"sshh,, don't shout Rabbit is sleeping idiot. And fyi it's not a crime to be ---- inexperienced"
He then looks at me like I am some sort of an alien. Okay this is awkward. I closed my eyes and face forward and shut him up.
I woke up with a gentle tap on my face
"wake up Cliff we're about to land"
We arrive in NYC and as we reached the exit Zia grab the hem of my t-shirt.
"mommy, let's eat pizza."
"okay" okay?? Did I say that without thinking?
"yeyy!!" oh crap.
We went to the pizza house and ordered a family size double Hawaiian pizza. And as we wait for the order I came to realize how comfortable I am being around them. we chat and I can tell I'm having a good time which is not good.
"hey, you okay?" Rexter asked after noticing my sudden mood
"yeah."
After finishing our food we head out of the Pizza house. Zia never let go of my hand or even leave my side. And she keeps on calling me mommy.
"can I see you again mommy?" her eyes pleading, oh what a rabbit
"umm, you see I have a lot of thing to do and your dad is kinda busy so it's a goodbye now. I'm just your temporary mom so, just take care okay?" I don't know what I did but she starts crying
"hey, sshh, why? What did I do?" I panic
Rexter just stares at me
"you really don't have any idea? You just broke her heart, I think she already likes you and she kinda believe this mommy thing"
"what?! How could a kid ever like a stranger that much in less than a day that she would actually cry about it?" it doesn't make sense
"kids follow their instincts, she likes you and that's it. No more reasons"
I looked at Zia then I feel this urge to take back my words. But I am afraid she might be involved in my world, which means danger.
"mommy, don't you love me??? Am I bad? Am I ugly? Do you hate me? Why can't I see you again???? Huhuhuhu" she is crying out loud and I heard people saying shits like
"she is a bad mother look at that poor baby"
"she's so irresponsible"
"that's what happens when they make babies in such a young age"
"poor child, her mom is heartless"
Why is everyone so convinced that she is my daughter!? For Christ sake I am a stranger to this kid
"okay, rabbit we can keep in touch okay? I'll pay you a visit tomorrow, is that okay with you?" ofcourse it's a lie but that managed to make her stop crying
"you promise?"
"ofcouse dear, I—um I have to go somewhere for the meantime so you go with your daddy okay?"
"uhuh, love you mommy" then she kissed me on the cheeks.
For a second I was tempted to actually fulfill my promise but I have to make precautionary measures and my decision is final. I will not let the life of this beautiful sweet angel be at risk just because I want her to stay in my world, I can't take that risk.
"now go to the car and behave okay?"
She ran to their car but Rexter remains beside me
"you lied right?"
"yeah, your kid would probably forget me after day or two so it won't be a problem"
"can't you just do as you said? Let her see you atleast once in awhile? She seems happy with you, although she is nice to everyone she is not usually that comfortable with them, just like what she is with you" by the looks of him and the way he said that it was like a favor but
"no, you don't know me, and you should not involve yourself to a person like me. Why don't you just find yourself a girl?"
"why? What kind of person are you?"
That takes me back to reality. I erased every emotion that I have right now and faced him
