The Best Gift

Kayella's POV

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTYNA AND KAYELLA!" shouted everybody as Kristyna and I blew out our candles. We looked up to see our smiling families as we took pictures. It was my 13th birthday and Kristyna had an early 14th birthday party along with me at my house. We posed for even more pictures and laughed while we each got a knife to cut our cake.

While I cut the first piece, my parents told me that there was something hanging from it. I gave them a funny look as I saw a paper and took it out. There were words that I could'nt even make out until I heard a gasp. I looked behind me to see if it was Kristyna but she gave me a questioning look and I was shocked that it came from me. Trying to hold in my excitment, I gave it to Kristyna and she let out a scream. "WE GOT TICKETS TO SEE ONE DIRECTION!'

"Surprise girls, we knew how much you wanted them," chuckled Mr.Harris (Kristynas dad). I felt water run down my cheek and I lifted my hand to wipe it away as I realized that they were tears. My family never had done something like this for me EVER. I ran to them with open arms and hugged them tight not wanting to let go of the most amazing parents that anyone could have. I turned my head and saw Kristyna do the same. This had been the best gift ever.

As the party ended, Kristyna and I went to my room and finally had time to actually look at the tickets. We found out that they were tomorrow in San Diego and that we got the Meet & Greet tickets. "OMG! I love our parents! I can't wait til the concert! Wait omg, what am I gonna wear? How will I look?" exclaimed Kristyna. Sigh. "As much as I love my best friend, at times she can be really annoying." I thought to myself as I watched her babble on about how she'll look. So I turn on my IPod and tried to drown out my surroundings and listen to what was playing. Minutes later, everything faded to black.
