I pried my eyes off the last few words of the book I was reading, "one does not love breathing." I resisted the urge to continue and stuck my bookmark in, placing it down on the table.

I had been in England for nearly a week now, and I felt quite comfortable already. I would definitely consider living here in the future, it felt like home.

Currently, I desperately had to pee and I don't think the librarian would appreciate me taking the book to the bathroom.

I set my book down and wandered to the restroom, pushing open the door and walking in. It was the kind for only one person instead of stalls, but it was quite clean.

I did my business and washed my hands, drying them off afterwards. I pushed open the door and quickly dropped my hands when I realized I had hit something. "Sorry!" I squealed, assuming it was a person by the grunt that sounded.

"S'alright." The stranger mumbled, revealing himself from behind the door. Not only was his voice beautiful with it's deep, raspy tone, but the man that showed was breathtaking.

He had beautiful pale green eyes with this deepness behind them like a forest, begging to be explored. He had gently defined cheekbones and rosy-pink, heart-shaped lips that looked so soft. His hair had these brunette curls messily peeking out from the green headscarf they were tucked away under.

All of this observing, or should I say admiring, of mine happened within seconds before I scurried away back to my table. I was too scared to spark a conversation, especially after I rammed him with a door when he needed to use the restroom.

I sighed to myself as I opened my book again. I found myself repeating lines over and over again as I tried to focus and shake the image of that alluring man off my train of thought. All I could wonder was if I would see him again.

I walked out of the bathroom, thinking about that cute girl on the way out. I only caught a glimpse of her face after she hurried away in embarrassment, but I quite hoped I would see her again.

Truth is, I only came in here to use the bathroom. I didn't intend on reading at all, but now I was going to try to find her. She must still be here right? I hope that's not too creepy of me. I at least wanted to know her name, and see that pretty face again.

I wandered around the library a bit hoping I would stumble upon her. I casually walked through the rows of books until I came to this little area off the side. I noticed a person sitting there with their back turned to me.

Sitting in one of the cozy chairs by the lamp, with their face buried in a book was the girl. I recognized her by the light brown sweater swallowing her small frame and the wavy brown hair pulled in to a ponytail on her head.

I smiled to myself slightly as I leaned back, collecting my thoughts before going over. I casually walked over, as if I was getting a book on the shelf next to her. I pulled down a random book without looking at the title, and glanced over at her. I had caught her attention, seeing her petite face adorned in glasses, peering up at me.

"Oh, hello." I said gently, my voice at a low volume since we were in a library. She pulled her lips up in to a lazy smile as a response, and I took a seat next to her.

"What are you reading?" I asked her. "To Kill A Mockingbird." I nodded my head as if I had any idea what that book was about, taking note of her American accent. Quite cute, if I'm honest.

"You know you could've just asked." She added. "Asked what?" I said, tilting my head in confusion. "To sit with me." She said, a smirk playing at her lips. Her soft, pink lips.

"Oh, no, I was just getting this book." I said, sticking to my original excuse. "Oh, my bad. Tell me more about your interest in Surviving Post-Natal Depression." She said averting her gaze to my book, with that godawful title.

I felt my face turn red as I struggled. This could not get any worse. "You caught me." I mumbled, shaking my head with a smile. "Figured." She said in a teasing tone. "Hey, at least I didn't smack you with a door." I said, pointing my finger at her. The tables have turned, and now it was her looking down with a red face.

"Sorry about that." She said meekly. I smiled down at the girl in front of me, she was adorable. I'm so glad I talked to her. "No worries, love." Her lips pulled in to a shy smile. "Might need surgery to fix the broken nose though." I continued teasing. "Oh hush!" She hissed, lightly hitting my arm while failing to hide her blush. "I'm Charlie." She introduced with a playful roll of her eyes. "I'm Harry. Nice to meet you." I said, unable to stop the grin on my face. "You too."

A text popped up on the screen of her phone, disrupting the quiet tone of the library. She read it quickly and stood up, popping a thick golden string in her book to mark her place. "I have to go now, sorry." I couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed, but I didn't let it show as I stuck out my hand to meet hers.

She shook it and pushed up the glasses on her face before whispering, "Bye Harry." "Goodbye Charlie." I replied. Her voice was calming and sweet, and I gladly accepted the repeating of it in my head. She walked away, clutching the book in her arms. Once she was gone, I sat for a moment, deciding I absolutely had to come back tomorrow in hopes of seeing her.

I had only talked to her for a short while, but I had memorized the way her face looked. Smooth tan skin, with warm, honey-brown eyes surrounded by thick black eyelashes. Plush pink lips and thick eyebrows. But more than the way she looked, I was interested in her mind. Just from looking at her, I could tell she was very smart.

Not only had I met her at a library, but she was reading some book I had heard of but never bothered to read. Every time she spoke I could just imagine the gears turning in her head, and I ached to know what was going through that mind of hers. I wanted to explore her and know her secrets. Know her opinions and thoughts, what she cared about in this world. I had to talk to her again.

I popped the random book back on the shelf and walked away, the image of her not leaving my brain for the rest of the day.
